Winning NBC's Phenomenon has opened a lot of doors for Mike Super. Following the show's live season finale, the Clairton native received various offers from different industries, and is now planning to pursue his own television series.
“I'm…currently working on a possible Vegas deal. I've even been offered some small movie parts which I'd love to do as well!” Super told NBC. “But for right now, I'll definitely be pursuing my own magic series on TV... I have a concept that is completely fresh and has never been done. I'm REALLY excited about it!”

Phenomenon just makes up rules as it goes along. Last week, three people were eliminated to go from eight to five. This week, they told us two more would be eliminated, leaving three performers competing tonight in the finals. But, the “big twist” tonight was that the bottom two would also compete. Uri Gellar and Criss Angel, however, would decide which of the bottom two would be eligible in the finals.
It was revealed that the top three were Angela, Mike and Eran.

Renowned illusionist Criss Angel has a lot on his plate this year, and is expected to embark on even more projects in 2008. While he is preoccupied with shooting season 4 of Criss Angel: Mind Freak, his own reality series that centers on his unusual stunts and street magic acts, and while he tries to expose people who claim that they have supernatural abilities on his latest venture with mentalist Uri Geller on Phenomenon, the 39-year-old magician is also preparing for his upcoming controversial show at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas.
Expected to launch in September 2008, the new illusion-based Cirque du Soleil production at the Luxor Hotel will reportedly feature Angel in a 10-year run show with a possible 5-year renewal option of his contract.

Phenomenon is live! NBC assures the audience, over and over again, that the amazing tricks the viewers are seeing are indeed live, and all sorts of horrible things could happen...but don't. So, tonight was my first experience with Phenomenon, and I wasn't altogether disappointed. It's a fun show and, while I'm not a big magic guy to begin with, the tricks were all fairly impressive. Since it's live and the tricks are kind of long, the episode felt quite hurried, with the host cutting people off a few times. And, as it goes with middling reality shows, the contestants were significantly cut today, with three of the eight remaining competitors set home at the beginning of the episode.

While some Phenomenon contestants take the criticisms of renowned magician and judge Criss Angel as constructive, others deem it as offensive. On last Wednesday night's live taping of the NBC competitive reality series, altercation occurred as contestant Jim Callahan claimed to have been possessed by the spirit of author Raymond Hill.
Angel, who fronts Phenomenon alongside legendary mentalist Uri Geller, was quite doubtful of Callahan's claim and made some comments to the paranormalist contestant who hails from Pittsburgh. While Geller was convinced by Callahan's demonstration, Angel was anxious for his turn to weigh in.

NBC's Phenomenon is the latest reality import to hit American television, lifted from the Israeli smash hit “The Successor,” a competition that brought together mentalists in a typical viewer elimination showdown to find the next Uri Geller. Geller dominated the world of paranormal demonstration and mentalism for many years, thrusting the art of spoon bending into the imaginations of stunned fans worldwide. In the American adaptation, Geller is joined by co-host Criss Angel, whose Mindfreak has brought more acts of magic to primetime television than any other practicing magician in history. The defining line between the two is Geller's open-minded beliefs that psychic abilities do exist, and Angel's determination to prove a fraud anyone who claims to possess such abilities. Hands off his co-host, of course/
