Who doesn't love a good gag reel? Even though I've watched actors cracking up as they flub their lines on seemingly hundreds of different DVDs, I never tire of seeing my favorite stars act like real people. There's something about a good gag reel that makes you feel like you're right there on the set watching the magic happen. It's a bit strange to see someone like Kiefer Sutherland break character as he collapses into giggles while filming 24, but that's what makes it so entertaining. Gag reels help to remind us that actors are real people, and they make mistakes just like the rest of us.
Season 5 of One Tree Hill comes to DVD on August 26, but the gag reel has already shown up on YouTube. Read on to check it out.

Previously on One Tree Hill: Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) invited a special girl to Vegas for a quickie wedding, but viewers were left wondering if he called Brooke, Peyton (Hilarie Burton), or Lindsey. Dan (Paul Johannson) was run down by a car just as his new heart became available.

There are few film genres that I love more than noir, which was all the rage in Hollywood throughout the '40s and '50s. The films are usually shot in black and white, and often contain flashbacks, voiceovers, cynical men and dangerous femme fatales. As much as I love the noir style, it can often be a disaster when television shows adopt it for very special episodes. Smallville and Charmed both tried to pull off the hardboiled dialogue and beautiful black and white cinematography, but the less mentioned about those episodes the better.
While being interviewed by The CW Source at the Teen Choice Awards, Chad Michael Murray revealed that the episode of One Tree Hill he's scripting will be noir-themed. Will it be an interesting departure for the show or an absolute train wreck?

Who will Lucas choose? If you're a fan of One Tree Hill this is the question that's been on your mind all summer long. At the end of the show's fifth season, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) called up one special girl and invited her to Las Vegas for a quickie wedding. The question that remains is whether he called Peyton, Brooke or Lindsey. Every fan of the series seems to have a different theory about who Lucas will settle on, but we won't know for sure until season 6 premieres on September 1.
The CW recently revealed the first promo for One Tree Hill's sixth season premiere. The twenty second commercial doesn't reveal much, but it just might hold some hints about what happens in Vegas.

It can be tough to take award ceremonies seriously. Even the Oscars and the Emmys, as prestigious as they are, have made so many wrong choices over the years that most people can muster nothing but a shrug over the nominees and eventual winners. One ceremony that holds significantly less weight than either the Oscars or the Emmys is the annual Teen Choice Awards, which were held last night in Hollywood and air tonight on FOX. When looking over the list of winners today, which you can see here, I couldn't help but laugh a bit over one of the choices: Chad Michael Murray as Choice TV Actor in a drama series. I'm a fan of One Tree Hill, but this is preposterous even to me.

In the season 5 finale of One Tree Hill, there was one cliffhanger that had nothing to do with Lucas's romantic adventures or Dan's mortality. In a moment that left viewers hanging, Mia revealed that she met a man on the road who knew Peyton's mother, Ellie. Many fans assumed that the mystery man must be Peyton's biological father, who has never been seen on the show. In fact, I went so far as to provide my own fantasy casting for Peyton's long lost pops in this article, throwing out names like D.B. Sweeney, Andrew Divoff and David Sutcliffe.
Apparently I don't hold much sway with the One Tree Hill casting execs, because the role has now been cast without using any of my suggestions. We still don't know if the man is actually Peyton's father, but we do know who will be playing the new character.

We thought we had it figured out. With the news that actress Michaela McManus had landed a juicy new role on next season of Law & Order: SVU, it seemed impossible for her character of Lindsey to remain on One Tree Hill. With Lindsey out of the picture, figuring out who Lucas invited to Vegas at the end of season 5 would be a heck of a lot easier. Unfortunately, things just got more complicated. According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, the head honchos over at SVU have given the actress permission to continue her work on One Tree Hill. Ausiello wouldn't reveal how many episodes McManus would appear in, but it looks like the love triangle has once again become a square.
