Grief has become a binding factor for One Life to Live's Langston (Brittany Underwood) and Cole (Brandon Buddy). However, while their common experience of loss has given them the opportunity to be a source of comfort for one another, it has also excluded their friend Starr (Kristen Alderson). The tension between the three will only continue to build, what with Langston and Cole attending grief counseling.
“When I read the script I got a little chill, like, "Ugh, I would not like that, either," Alderson told Soap Opera Weekly, referring to Starr's exclusion from grief counseling. “But it's good stuff and really interesting to see how Starr has a whole bunch of emotions about it. She's going through a tough time.”

Previously on One Life to Live, John (Michael Easton) convinced Todd (Trevor St. John) to let him go with him and the two of men head out after Marcie (Kathy Brier). Meanwhile, Marcie went to the Bon Jour café in order to retrieve her passports and money, and there, found herself face to face with Viki (Erika Slezak), who was closing up the establishment by herself.
Elsewhere, Charlie (Brian Kerwin) surprised the scheming Dorian (Robin Strasser) by showing up at her door, while Jessica (Bree Williamson) set her plan to pretend to be Tess in motion in order to get information against Jared (John Brotherton).

For months now on ABC's One Life to Live, Kathy Brier's Marcie McBain has been on-the-run with her adopted son, Tommy, in the hopes of alluding Todd Manning (Trevor St. John), Tommy's biological father. Filming has been more intense and tiring since the particular storyline began, most especially for Brier.
“I'm so exhausted from them, frankly,” Brier said of her scenes in an interview with Soap Opera Weekly. “And what was tough about them was that we filmed a majority of them over three days — and most of the days were 12-16 hours long. I wished it was more spread out. It was exhausting.”

The holiday season is a time for generous gift-giving, but while One Life to Live actor Michael Easton is grateful for the presents -- which include Irish Whiskey and a “damn harp” -- he has received so far, the 40-year-old daytime star says he would rather his fans devote their time and energy to helping others who are in more need than him.
“I appreciate all the gifts and mementos you've sent these past years but this Holiday Season a simple card will make my day,” Easton, who plays John McBain on One Life to Live posted on his official website. “I am too blessed as it is. I would be even happier if you would extend that gesture of goodwill to someone in need near to you. A friend or a family member that is alone or down at this time of year. I know many of you support your local Children's Hospitals and The Marine's Toys For Tots Program and knowing that really does bring me a big smile.”

On One Life to Live, Ilene Kristen's Roxy is busy building a romantic connection with Miles (David Chisum). While there has been some flirting between the two characters, Kristen said that, at this point, she is uncertain if the relationship will reach a deeper level.
“I think [there will be love between Roxy and Miles], but I've got to tell you, I don't really know because we're shooting a lot out of sequence,” Kristen told Soap Opera Weekly. “I've shot some stuff, but it's hard to say where it's exactly going.”

Last week's One Life to Live proved dramatic and eventful once again. All have been hit hard by Marty's (Christina Chambers) tragic passing, most especially Miles (David Chisum) and Cole (Brandon Buddy). Miles wants to transport Marty's body to Llanview, but has been unable to. Cole, meanwhile, has been eager to avenge his mother's death, targeting Ramsey (Hunt Block) in the process. He threatened to shoot Ramsey, and John (Michael Easton) tried to stop him. However, Miles suddenly appeared behind Ramsey, and the panicked Cole fired the gun, striking Miles in the chest.
