ABC is shaking things up in a big way. With Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor running shorter seasons than most reality shows, the network needs to fill in those empty time slots by the end of November. Thus, today ABC announced the premiere dates for the second seasons of October Road and Notes from the Underbelly, while also setting a date for Dance War, the Drew Lachey-hosted competition from the producers of Dancing with the Stars.
Dance War will premiere Monday, January 7 at 8pm, occupying the time slot currently held by Dancing with the Stars. After it's final performance show on November 26, the network will fill the hour during December with various holiday specials.

Actresses Lindy Booth and Rebecca Field, both of who play recurring characters in ABC’s drama series, October Road, will be appearing as part of the regular cast during the show’s second season. The said promotion of the actresses is a sign that ABC has plans of bringing the show back in the fall.
Scott Rosenberg, co-creator of October Road, told Boston Globe that he was shocked that ABC decided to pick up the show, and that following a television hit like Grey’s Anatomy every Thursday Night has put him under pressure. Nevertheless, Rosenberg said that “given what’s on TV,” he feels he and his team “snuck one by.” He added, “Everyone's out there looking for the next Lost or 24, and here's this little show."

Entrancingly beautiful, Laura Prepon projects herself as an artistic actress and a brilliant television producer as well. It’s no wonder she has graced the cover of Maxim magazine twice. Compellingly flexible, she can transform her image from “playful and boyish” to “sophisticated and dramatic.” She became part of the show October Road, which gives her the opportunity to become one of the show’s eye candies.

It has been a long road for Josh Appelbaum, but the premier of his new show is finally here. Tonight, with the coveted Grey's Anatomy lead-in, October Road will make its debut on ABC. Josh is most well known for writing Alias, but this is quite a departure from that genre of television. Josh took time from his busy schedule to talk to BuddyTV about the writing process (with fellow writers Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg), his wonderful cast and the agony of "hurry up and wait."
