Last week's episode of Newport Harbor was full of the usual teen drama, this time revolving around the group of friends' highly-awaited prom night. The episode had its ups and downs, and much of the drama stemmed from Chase's inability to decide which girl he truly wants to be in a relationship with. Based on the preview of tomorrow's episode, it seems fans can expect to see more of the Allie-Chase-Taylor love triangle.
The preview opens with Chase and his on-off girlfriend Taylor, a sophomore at Newport High. Chase tells Taylor he had to pick and choose between her and Allie and that he is sorry he chose Allie. For those who weren't able to catch last week's Newport Harbor, a Taylor-free Chase decided to take Allie to the prom, but when things started going well between the two former lovebirds, Taylor unexpectedly showed up at the after-party. Needless to say, Taylor's presence sparked tension between Allie and Chase, especially after Allie caught Chase apologizing to Taylor for chasing her out of the party.

Newport Harbor's Chrissy and Clay have just begun seeing each other, but the two are already experiencing some rough patches along the way. Their time in Palm Springs was cut short by Chrissy's overprotective father, and since then, Clay has been distancing himself from Chrissy. Now, it seems that things are about to get even more complicated between the two, as Clay finds out something about Chrissy that could potentially put an end to their young romance.
In a preview for the third episode of Newport Harbor, a friend of Clay's is questioning him about Chrissy. Clay complains about Chrissy's father, saying that he is upset with his overprotective ways. The two then laugh at Clay's friend's comment that Clay is just using Chrissy's father as an excuse.

MTV has revamped the reality teenage drama series, Laguna Beach, by moving to a new location and casting a new group of friends. Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County is set to premiere on Wednesday, August 15 at 10:30pm ET/PT, and viewers can expect fresh faces, new rivalries and budding relationships as the series starts anew.
“It has been three years since the Stephen, Lauren and Kristin love triangle drew viewers to the real life drama of Laguna Beach,” Tony DiSanto, Executive Vice President, Series Development & Programming for MTV, said. “Now we are moving up the coast to a new town with new faces and a new high school, but with the same drama of dealing with relationships, cliques, family and friends. The real OC is a beautiful backdrop to this universal story and this year we go back to the heart of the drama…that wistful last year of school.”
