There wasn't much star power at the first set of swag suites – venues for vendors to get their products in front of celebrities, who in turn get to take home the products for free – this year, what with the ongoing writers strike dampening usually glitzy and glamorous awards ceremonies and events, particularly the Golden Globes. However, the call of free assorted products and merchandise was still heard loud and clear by a number of personalities, although most were not necessarily of the A-list kind.
One of those personalities spotted at a swag suite was Chrissy Schwartz, star of MTV's reality series Newport Harbor. The toothy teen was spotted with a couple of friends as they sported huge grins and carried tons of nicely-wrapped goodie bags in their arms.

As the narrator of Newport Harbor, Chrissy Schwartz has often been compared to Lauren Conrad, who catapulted to stardom with her exposure on docu-drama shows like Laguna Beach and The Hills. However, the 18-year-old reality star would rather be under the shadows of Conrad's Hills co-star and rival Heidi Montag.
When asked by E! who would she choose if she could raid any one of The Hills girls' closets, Schwartz opted to go for Montag instead of Conrad, who now has her own line of clothes and handbags.

After two months of waiting, MTV takes viewers back to Newport Beach, California to experience the drama and catch up with Chrissy Schwartz, Clay Adler, Allie Stockton, Grant Newman, Chase Cornwell, Taylor Geiney and Sasha Dunlap as they return home to celebrate the holidays. Fans can catch four new episodes of Newport Harbor: Home For The Holidays premiering tonight at 10:30pm ET/PT.

Newport Harbor ended its eight-season freshman run on Wednesday, October 3, and although MTV has yet to announce whether the series will have a second season, it is clear that viewers are eager to see more of their favorite teens from Newport High.
Newport Harbor, which, like its predecessor Laguna Beach, has a teen soap opera feel to it, featured Chrissy Schwartz and Clay Adler as the powercouple. Viewers watched their romance unfold on the screen, as well as see it enter the realm long-distance dating when Chrissy left town for college in the finale.
At this time, it is unclear whether Chrissy and Clay's relationship survived, but, judging by BuddyTV's readers' reactions, a majority are rooting for the couple to beat the odds.
