Aundrea Fimbres was discovered on MTV’s reality show Making the Band 3 .  Although short in height, her soaring vocal range impressed many fans and even the show’s vocal coach Doc Holliday.  Eager to prove that she has the look, the voice and the dancing ability, she pursued the contest and successfully became part of the all female group Danity Kane, along with Shannon Bex, Aubrey O‘Day, Dawn Richard, and D.Woods.  At present, she remains to be part of the group and a significant contributing member to the band’s second album. Read more »
Young City, formerly called Chopper and known as Kevin Barnes in real life, is at odds with the law again. The former Making the Band star is now a wanted man after a Baltimore, Maryland judge issued a warrant for his arrest for violating his probation rooting from an armed robbery conviction. This wasn’t Young City’s first encounter with the law.  Previously, he was convicted of robbing a man and holding a BB gun in Eastpoint Mall, Baltimore in 2001.  He was also arrested for the assault of his girlfriend in Georgia, in which he missed a court appearance relating to the case.  Read more »
MTV‘s Making the Band or MTB is back, returning last night with season 2 of its fourth edition.  The second season of Making the Band 4 opened with its first episode called “Battle of the Sexes,” which premiered at 10pm ET/PT. This season of Making the Band 4 will find previous Making the Band winners, the girls of Danity Kane from Making the Band 3 and the boys of Making the Band 4‘s first season, living together while working on their respective recording projects. Read more »
At long last, the boys who won in last season‘s Making the Band 4 to form Diddy‘s new recording quintet finally have a name.  Diddy announce the all-male group‘s identity earlier this week, following the premiere of Making the Band 4‘s second season last week.Brian Andrews, Mike McCluney, Qwanell Mosley or “Q,” Willie Taylor and Robert Curry are now officially known as DAY26. Read more »

Viewers first saw Willie, Qwanell, Brian A., Michael and Robert on the first season of Making the Band 4, in which they competed against other aspiring singing superstars.  The five of them were ultimately named the winners of the competition, but the next task at hand has proven to be quite challenging: for the second season of Making the Band 4, music producer Diddy has instructed them to finish their debut album in only five weeks. "We‘ve all worked really hard,” Qwanell, who turned down a college scholarship to appear in season 1, told, “and the show‘s made everyone a better artist.  I think Diddy is a genius for putting us all together." Read more »
During the fourth episode of Making the Band 4 (Season 2), tension rose between solo artist Donnie and DAY26 band member Qwanell after a “little joke” quickly turned ugly.  Coming off from a successful date with Danity Kane‘s Aubrey, Donnie and the guys decided to meet with some girls, and while out partying the night away, Qwanell, eager for some company and to play a joke on his castmate, called Dawn and invited her and the girls, including Aubrey, to join them.  Long story short, Aubrey got upset with Donnie when she saw him flirting with other girls, and Donny felt betrayed by Qwanell. Danity Kane, the all-female singing sensation forged through MTV‘s Making the Band series, will be headlining the 10th anniversary celebration of U92.7 FM on Saturday, April 12 at the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio, California.  Headlining the “massive” event with Danity Kane is Bay Area rapper E-40. This will serve as Danity Kane‘s first concert in Coachella Valley.  Aubrey O‘Day, one of the group‘s members, said in an interview with U92.7‘s “Morning Show” that this valley is the only home region of any of the girls that Danity Kane has not performed. Read more »
Last night, season 2 of Making the Band 4 came to a close via a two-hour finale complete with live performances from Danity Kane, Day26 and Donnie J, as well as a major announcement courtesy of Diddy.  To recap the premise for the just-concluded second season, the members of Danity Kane from Making the Band 3 and the boys from Making the Band 4‘s first season, were all thrust under one roof to cohabit with each other while completing their own respective albums.  Near the start of the season, Diddy finally christened the all-male quintet winner from season 1, naming the group, Day26.Read on for highlights of last night‘s Making the Band 4 second season wrap-up courtesy of The Young, Black & Fabulous or YBF. Read more »
