Younger viewers came to know Robert Carradine as Samuel "Sam" McGuire on Disney’s Lizzie McGuire.  As Matt and Lizzie’s father, he was considered as slightly goofy and clueless about raising a teenager.  On the other hand, he was always available to lend a helping hand.  He added whim and quirkiness to the show whenever he enjoyed the clever schemes of his children, which often led to the distress of wife Jo.
