It's just that impossible to keep the bad girl attitude out of your skin. TLC didn't think twice in ordering another season of the hit reality series, LA Ink. The filming began in July this year, with the open casting call announced last June.
Kat Von D returns to her fast-paced lifestyle later this year, along with her needle-wielding crew consisting of Hannah, Kim and Corey. The forum on Kat Von D's website is buzzing with questions about the return of LA Ink, but the network has not confirmed when exactly it will be back. However, Kat validated the news about her return, and wrote on her MySpace page that she can't wait for LA Ink's season 3 to begin.

Now that LA Ink has finished airing its second season, and the furor over Kat Von D's new romance with Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx is subsiding, Kat is busying herself with other projects, which she wrote about on her MySpace blog.
In her entry early last week, the LA Ink star explained why she's been scarcely spotted in the city of angels in the previous weeks. She cited one project in particular, that's been the focus of her time, energy and resources for the past six months.

TV time finally caught up with real time last week with the airing of LA Ink's second season finale. The episode featured the breakdown of Kat and Orbi's relationship, which has already been the subject of news for the past few weeks.
Just a few days past the halfway mark last month, we broke the news that Kat Von D had severed her love ties with Alex aka Orbi Orbison and was already seeing Motley Crue bassist, Nikki Sixx. Since LA Ink is not aired in real time, the episodes depicting the beginning of the end for Kat and Orbi have just aired, despite the fact that both parties have admitted to their break-up actually occurring over a month ago. In Orbi's own words on his MySpace blog: “TV time: We dated till the last week of February. They started dating the first week of March.”

Now that both parties, meaning Kat Von D and Alex “Orbi” Orbison, have spoken, and the mind-boggling secret is out in the open, LA Ink's resident tattoo mistress and her new Motley Crue honey have been all over town, making the rounds of social events together. Two weeks ago, the new lovebirds dropped by the M.A.C. Pro Store in Los Angeles to celebrate the launch of the Heatherette Collection. They joined the likes of Jesse James and Kim Kardashian, along with other makeup aficionados eager for a taste of the new M.A.C. line.
More recently, Kat and Nikki did their first radio interview together, sitting down with one of the LA Ink star's closest friends for some fun and casual conversation. Kat wrote about that little repartee and the thrill of finally introducing her latest love to a trusted confidante.

Ok, here it is, just because we promised we'd give you HIS side of the story.
Last week, we broke the news that LA Ink's Kat Von D is now draped on the arm of a new man, Nikki Sixx. We also quoted the more salient points of Kat's own MySpace blog post, explaining how she and the Motley Crue bassist eventually hooked up romantically after a lengthy friendship which, according to her, was already there before she even met Alex “Orbi” Orbison. In that same blog entry, LA Ink's boss also clarified that she and Sixx began dating AFTER she and Orbi were already history. Well, here's how her recently replaced former beau saw how things materialized. Read on for excerpts of his own MySpace post, from a letter he sent to his friend Sarah.

Well, well, following last week's report that Pixie has flown the LA Ink/High Voltage coop, now comes another stunning turn of events. The latest headline-making story out of LA Ink's turf is that Kat Von D and her erstwhile love, Alex “Orbi” Orbison are no more.
Yes, wasn't it just a few weeks back when Kat herself wrote about her experience tattooing a portrait of Orbi's legendary father, Roy Orbison? I seem to recall having seen a post about that on her MySpace blog, which mysteriously disappeared a couple of weeks ago. Now I guess we know why.

Brace yourselves LA Ink fans, as we're about to drop a bomb. Last week, we told you that the TLC reality show had just finished filming its installments for the second season. This week, we have the unenviable task of breaking the news that Pixie has left the shop and the show.
The scoop comes straight from LA Ink and High Voltage Tattoo's resident ink mistress, Kat Von D. Kat posted a long and candid entry in her MySpace blog, giving a general account of what transpired that eventually led to Pixie's sudden exit.

It looks like Kat Von D and the rest of her inking crew on High Voltage Tattoo will finally get a welcome change of pace. For one thing, Kat's first ever music and tattoo festival – MUSINK – is now officially a wrap, after three days of sights, sounds, sweat and skin.
Similarly, TLC's reality show, LA Ink, starring Kat and the High Voltage crew, has apparently finished filming.
