Kitchen Nightmares: Season 2 Premieres Tonight

kitchen nightmaresAfter a successful first season of Kitchen Nightmares, Chef Gordon Ramsay returns tonight for yet another run of the reality series that follows the infamous restaurateur as he helps failing restaurants.  But before Ramsay embarks on new food adventures, he will first have to revisit the kitchens of six restaurants that were once on the verge of disaster.

Last season, Kitchen Nightmares focused on restaurants in the Southern California and New York City area.  These struggling establishments were about to close their doors due to rough financial times and uncertainty about the future so Ramsay stepped in to make some necessary changes.

Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon Ramsay, Marcus WareingGordon Ramsay, celebrity chef famous for his stint on Kitchen Nightmares, no longer has the privilege of being a buddy to his successful protégé, Marcus Wareing.  Though Ramsay was the best man during Wareing's wedding, the two have called it splitsville.

After a public falling-out, Wareing finally allowed himself to be interviewed.  He began to attack his former mentor, the very man who launched Wareing's career.  He turned his back on Ramsay saying that he would rather kill himself than be overshadowed.  He seems to have his eye on being named the top chef in London, usurping the title Ramsay thinks he owns.

FOX is the final network to have its upfronts this week.  As far as upfront weeks go, it hasn't been the most exciting.  In this Internet age we live in, secrets are almost impossible to keep – we all knew which shows were being canceled and which weren't.  We knew which new series were going to be picked up.  The one thing that networks can keep secret, however, are their final schedules.  FOX released two schedules today, one for Fall and one for the Spring.  Below, you will find the Fall schedule, followed by a look at the new series and some commentary.

After Ramsay's “I burnt my testicle” media hoax, it's hard not to take anything outlandish that he says with a grain of salt, but he said he's serious.
