Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Kim Raises Awareness on the Effects of Drunk Driving

June 3, 2008

Now that the second season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians is over, Kim Kardashian and the rest of the gang are living their lives without the cameras rolling. However, the paparazzi are still hot on their tracks as Kim was recently spotted at the White Party at the Hamptons, where she surprised her boyfriend, NFL player Reggie Bush with a joke about being pregnant.  The 27-year-old socialite quickly took it back, saying that she was just kidding.

Jokes aside, Kim Kardashian recently headed to the Beverly Hills Police Department to send a message out to teens about the effects of drunk driving.  The reality TV star previously admitted that she did not drink much, writing in her blog, "There is no fancy reason for why I don't drink alcohol.  I simply hate the taste! I really can't stomach it.  I might drink once a year on a special occasion."

Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ second season ended last week, but that doesn’t mean Kim isn’t busy as a bee.  She was recently spotted hosting the white party at the Hamptons, where she joked about being pregnant with boyfriend Reggie Bush’s baby.  She quickly took back her word, saying, “It’s a joke.”

However, there are some things she isn’t joking about, as she recently opened up an auction for a good cause.  Kim Kardashian recently put up her own eBay Charity Auction for the Dream Foundation, an organization which her family is a part of.  She previously dished about their participation in charity events and why they chose the Dream Foundation.

Season two of Keeping Up with the Kardashians has come to a close but that doesn’t mean that Kim Kardashian won’t bask in the limelight anymore.  In fact, it may as well mean that fans will get to see more of her in her night club appearances and hosting duties.  More recently, Kim Kardashian set out to host her own white party at the Hamptons.  Usually, it was rapper and R&B artist P. Diddy who headed events such as these white parties at the Hamptons, but this year, Kim and her boyfriend, NFL athlete Reggie Bush headlined the event.

"White is actually one of my favorite colors.  I have a white car.  I love white," Kim confessed to People magazine while at the event.  "When the opportunity came up to be in the Hamptons – I'd never been in the Hamptons before – and to host a white party at the White House, it just seemed right."

Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Burma Commercial Not Taken Seriously, Receives Negative Comments

May 13, 2008

We all know how terribly busy Kim Kardashian is while sitting at Dash, waiting for people to come in.  That’s why the makers of her public service announcement for the plight of Burma decided to film the commercial right there in the Kardashian clothing store—in Kim’s natural environment.  However, things took a turn for the worse when the commercial was recently released for the entire world to see.  In fact, numerous comments on Kim Kardashian’s official website spoke of disappointment and disgust on what the former amateur porn star has done for such a serious cause.

“I think it's great you're trying to bring the Burma matter to attention but maybe you should actually research the situation yourself,” Kate, a commenter on Kim’s official website, wrote.  “It's obvious you're saying whatever someone told you to say.  If you used your own words and actual feelings people may take it more seriously.”
