This episode of K-Ville opens with Captain Embry telling Marlon and Cobb that theyve been volunteered to have a New York Herald reporter as a ride along. Neither of them are real thrilled with the idea for their own reasons.

This episode of K-Ville begins in a Karaoke Bar on Bourbon Street. Almost the whole squad, minus Cobb, is drinking and listening to Marlon sing some Wilson Pickett “In the Midnight Hour”. Just as he is finished, they all get paged.

Previously on K-Ville, Charlie abandons his post during the flood, comes back, wants his job back, faces opposition from Marlon. He helps Marlon and Cobb with a case, is injured. Marlon eventually vouches for him and he gets his job back.

K-Villes body of the week is a plastic surgeon with a briefcase full of money that wasnt taken when the good doctor was bludgeoned to death. This weeks story is about Dr. Steven Schmidt, his daughter Melissa and Marlons childcare issues.

After recaps, this episode of K-Ville opens with the guys getting a call. There is an armed robbery, possible car-jacking. When they get there, the victim is shot and the suspects run. They split up and chase them. Cobb catches one and announces it over the radio. The suspect recognizes him from his previous life and after catching Cobb by surprise, he overpowers him. When Glue Boy arrives, hes beaten by the guy and hurt badly. Before he loses consciousness, he kills the suspect.

Its Sunday morning in K-Ville and partners, Cobb (Cole Hauser) and Marlon (Anthony Anderson) are walking down the street on duty. Cobb offers to cover for Marlon for the rest of the shift, but Marlon turns him down saying his family was in church anyway. Cobb asks why he doesnt meet them there as a surprise, and Marlon again turns him down. I get the feeling that theres a story here ...

We start of this weeks episode of K-Ville with a scene in the past of Cobb (Cole Hauser) literally finding dirty money and washing it. Back in the present, he sits in his car watching this female outside of a FEMA trailer. In another flashback, Cobb and his cell mate, Sonny are in their cell talking about Sonnys girlfriend AJ and we, again, see Sonny carving her initials into the wall of the cell.

Set against the backdrop of post-hurricane Katrina New Orleans, K-Ville is steeped in very specific sights, sounds and culture. The show has promised as much authenticity in depicting the flavor and feel of the southern big easy. Not the least of the key elements the show strives to keep faithful to the region is the music which is part and parcel of the New Orleans scene.
