The Bachelorette: Jake Wants to be the Next 'Bachelor'

July 3, 2009

With all the drama surrounding love searcher Jillian Harris, Wes Hayden and his alleged girlfriend Laurel Kagay, eliminated Bachelorette contestant Jake Pavelka has become quite a celebrity these days. Not only is he the guy who opened the can of worms and told Jillian about Wes' shady intentions, but he's also the guy whom fans are rooting for to be next Bachelor.

Smallville: Justin Hartley Spills A Lot About Himself

July 3, 2009

It's actually funny that the three spoilers for Smallville I spotted this week came from Justin Hartley, and only from Justin Hartley.  And they're about Justin Hartley.  Not implying anything bad here: just a pretty funny thing, at least in my warped and expired sense of humor.  Oh well.  Here then go those details he's been talking about.  I guess the Green Arrow misses shooting those arrows during the break, huh.  Oh, and close your eyes if you have to, now.

So what will he be up to?  "I think he is going to struggle with the things he has been afforded [as a result of] his powers," he told Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello.  "He has sacrificed things and done things that haunt him... It's bad stuff.  We need to get to the bottom of it."

So You Think You Can Dance: With Ridiculously Early 100th Episode Spoilers, It's A Crash Course For Me

July 3, 2009

I say that because--and I'll never get tired of admitting this--I'm pretty much the So You Think You Can Dance newbie around here.  While I'm feeling pretty good about my rooting for Caitlin and Jason's alien condom routine two nights ago, I still think I have miles to go, at least with my dance knowledge.  It's funny asking Abbey about what "lines" mean, to be honest.

So there's a little problem when the folks at SYTYCDism--as always, and again, ridiculously early--got their hands on some spoilers for the show's 100th episode, which airs on July 23.  And by spoilers, I don't mean the bit with Katie Holmes performing for the Dizzy Feet Foundation, because let's face it, we all knew that already.  And then they start talking about old routines from seasons past, and I start having a Michael Scofield-type nosebleed, because I don't know what they're talking about.

'Top Chef' Winner to Appear on Radio Show, Talk about Intuition

July 3, 2009

Top Chef season 5 winner and New Mexico native Hosea Rosenberg is set to be featured on the BlogTalkRadio show entitled "A Little LightWork with Jen & Amy" on July 9 Thursday, to dabble on the connection of "cooking and intuition" by exploring his spiritual side.

"Hosea exhibited remarkable focus and a calm confidence during last season's Top Chef," says co host Amy Grant. "He was such a pleasure to watch that I was excited to see him win. Meeting him in person was like meeting an old friend - he seems very much the same as he appeared on television."

The judges of Top Chef reportedly made a number of references on intuition throughout the season, which Grant describes as "a natural part of great cooking." She adds that, "anyone can follow a recipe, but it is only through intuition that new flavor combinations can be created."

Prior to his sting on Top Chef, Rosenberg was the head chef at Jax Fish House in Boulder. For winning Top Chef, he received a cash prize of $100,000, on top of a showcase at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen.

'Hell's Kitchen' Season 6 Sneak Peek

July 3, 2009

En route to its July 21 premiere, Hell's Kitchen looks like it's going to be hotter than ever, when the Fox cooking show sizzles with 16 new contestants go under the knife, so to speak, of the infamous Chef Gordon Ramsay. The sixth season of Hell's Kitchen will kick off with a two-hour premiere to introduce the 16 people feature in its sixth season. Of particular interest was a rain of shrimps shown in the sneak peek released by Fox.

This season's winner of Hell's Kitchen will win the position of head chef at Araxi Restaurant in Whistler, British Columbia, in the first time a Canadian-set restaurant is featured on the show. He or she will also have the added privilege of joining executive chef James Walt in welcoming the world during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

On the first episode, Ramsay will go by the tradition, asking the contestants to cook him their signature dishes. The men and women will be pitted against each other in separate teams, with the winning team (and gender) awarded a special prize.

Rumer Willis Headed to '90210'

July 3, 2009

Fresh from winning Female Breakthrough Performance in last month's Young Hollywood Awards, the eldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore is set to guest star on the CW reboot of 90210 for at least one episode, Access Hollywood reports.

Rumer Willis, 20, will play Gia on the modern revival of the hit 90s teen series, a punky cute lesbian who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Her character will work at the school paper the Blaze News alongside Navid (Michael Steger), Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) and Silver (Jessica Stroup).

Rocky Carroll Will Do 'NCIS' Twice Next Season

July 3, 2009

If you're a fan of NCIS director Leon Vance, then you're in for a real treat next season. Rocky Carroll revealed he will be appearing on both NCIS and its spin off NCIS: Los Angeles next season, TV Guide reports. And judging from the number of episodes, it won't be a minor gig for the actor.

"I'll be keeping my normal routine on the 'mother ship,' and I'll be doing at least six of the first 13 episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles," Carroll said.

More Emmanuelle Chriqui on 'Entourage'

July 3, 2009

Less than a couple of weeks before the return of HBO's Hollywood-themed series Entourage, guest star Emmanuelle Chriqui revealed to New York Daily News that fans of the series will start to see more of her this season as her storylines will venture deeper. For that matter, all the other characters on Entourage will see some change in how their motivations are shaped.

"I feel like all of the characters are evolving this season. Everyone is growing and growing up," Chriqui says. "Priorities have changed a little bit, which happens in life, and these guys are realizing that there are other things, besides work and movies, that are really important, too."
