Last night on Survivor: Samoa, 39 year old Laura Morett, the lobbyistenabler from Salem, Oregon, became the third member of the jury. Facinga deadlock and the possibility of picking rocks, rocket scientist JohnFincher switched his allegiance on the Tribal Council revote to sendhis long time ally packing.

The mid-season finale of Supernatural may have been incrediblydepressing and without hope, but one single line caused fans‘ minds tostart racing at the speed of light.  After Lucifer got up after beingshot by the Colt, he said that he is one of only five creations thatare immune to the Colt‘s killing ability.

This should come as no surprise to anyone who has been keeping up with the presage numbers. New Moon is rocketing through box offices and now has the largest opening night ever. Midnight screenings across the nation were packed with giddy fangirls and fanboys alike. Summit estimates that it earned $26.3 million dollars after early morning calculations.

What a great vote! Dave‘s face said it all. He could not imagine thatone of his four allies turned on Laura. After 26 days with John andBrett he thought they were solid, and he was sure Monica would nevervote out her best friend. The Foa Foa‘s ability to escape theirseemingly-inescapable demise week after week must have been unreal.Eric said, "There goes the lead." But really, there goes the ballgame.

It‘s Friday. We‘ve all had a long week, including Mr. Bass here, who is still recovering from saving his step-sister/former attempted date-rape victim from a skeazy European drug dealer who transports his goods via electronic toy boat.

Gotta say I am loving FOX for allowing the current crop of season 6 dancers to Tweet while they are still in the competition. With a season and stage that has made emotional connections difficult, much of my fondness and feel for the dancers have come from their 140 character quips.

The Vampire Diaries closed out the first half of the season with plentyof turning points.  Stefan and Elena finally had sex, Damon learnedthat there‘s someone else trying to open Katherine‘s tomb, and mostshocking of all, Elena was in a horrific car accident.

The mid-season finale of Supernatural was titled "Abandon AllHope," and it certainly delivered on that promise.  It turned out to beone of the most depressing hours of TV

I love a good underdog story. You know, the sort that does not see the protagonist endure loss after loss after loss, only to start winning after a melodramatic moment with a figure of inspiration, with poetic phrases and life-affirming moments in between. Get the balance right, and I‘ll definitely root for the underdog, rather than feel worse knowing that the supposed loser will win in the end. But that‘s just me and my ability to relate everything with myself.
