One of the weakest aspects of Heroes, at least in my mind, are the voiceovers that often open and close each episode of the series. Actor Sendhil Ramamurthy certainly has a lovely voice, but the narration is often written to violently pound the episode's themes into our heads, as though we're too dense to figure them out ourselves. Since I'm quite tired of listening to Mohinder drone on about evolution, I'm excited to report that someone else may be taking over the narrating duties when the show returns for its third season. According to Michael Ausiello at TV Guide, creator Tim Kring is said to be seeking "an Australian Aboriginal actor in his fifties to appear in multiple episodes as a storyteller with great wisdom and a soft, soothing voice."

It was almost a year ago when it was announced that film director Kevin Smith would write and direct the first episode of Heroes: Origins. The idea behind the six-episode spin-off was to allow big name creators the chance to play around in the Heroes universe. Each episode would have introduced a new hero, and if any of them had been particularly popular they may have transitioned to the original series. Despite the fact that directors such as Smith, Eli Roth, and Michael Dougherty were already signed on, NBC Entertainment co-chairman Ben Silverman recently announced that the idea has been scrapped.
While fans may never get to see Origins, they'll still have plenty of Heroes. The show will return in July with new online webisodes, then return for its third season in September with a two-hour movie that Silverman describes as "massive."

There's a lot to take in here. NBC head Ben Silverman held a conference call today regarding NBC's upfronts. He went over the NBC Fall schedule, the new series that will premiere next season, what NBC's midseason will look like and which shows will return, when they will return and with how many episodes. NBC's big thing is that this schedule is a 52-week schedule, with staggered premiere dates and very few re-runs. Ben Silverman claimed that next season, NBC will premiere more series than any other network ever. That's probably true.

I have to admit that I didn't like many of the new characters that were introduced in the second season of Heroes. Claire's new boyfriend, West, was creepy and annoying, Maya and Alejandro were useless, and Micah's cousin, Monica (Dana Davis), wasted an awesome super power on playing Double Dutch. However, one character that I truly did love was the evil Adam Monroe, played by former Alias star David Anders. The last we saw of the wannabe Takezo Kensei, he was buried alive by Hiro (Masi Oka) after attempting to release a deadly virus. Is it really possible to keep a good villain down?
Anders recently spoke with SyFy Portal about whether or not he'd ever return to the series. Beware that there are spoilers for the third season of Heroes below, so don't read on if you don't want to know.

Hayden Panettiere is sure keeping herself busy while pre-production is underway for NBC's hit series, Heroes, in which she plays the indestructible cheerleader, Claire Bennet. The 18-year-old actress has recently appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan's April 2008 issue, in which she revealed her thoughts on men, troubled celebrities and being a "bad" good girl.
If you think that this petite young woman is a softie, then you have got her all wrong. Unlike many other young stars in Hollywood, Panettiere isn't into much of the pampered diva lifestyle. In fact, she's a veritable toughie, admitting to being brave about doing her own stunts.

In most cases, intriguing hints about upcoming television plotlines come to us courtesy of the actors. Writers for the biggest hits on the tube are usually evasive and secretive about upcoming events, while the actors have a tendency to be loose-lipped and possibly spill more than they should. Such was the case when Heroes actor Adrian Pasdar recently made an appearance at MegaCon in Orlando, Florida. We haven't heard much from series creator Tim Kring regarding season 3, but Pasdar dropped a bombshell about what the next year holds for his character.

Ali Larter has come a long way from her infamous whipped cream bikini scene in the 1999 film, Varsity Blues. In fact, the television star and print model has made big waves last year, after being cast on the hit NBC series, Heroes, and being named as one of FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2007, landing in the 100th spot. In the recently concluded second season of Heroes, we saw Ali Larter's Niki Sanders in a cliffhanger, as she was left to supposedly die in an explosion. Larter, who just turned 32 on February 28, revealed in an interview the that she does know about Niki's fate after the explosion, but she isn't spilling any beans.

Unfortunately for fans of NBC's Heroes, there are still many months remaining before the series will return for its third season this fall. When we last left the super powered crew, Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) had just stopped a deadly viral outbreak, while both Nikki (Ali Larter) and Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) were left for dead. To tide fans over until the big re-launch of the new season in September, we have some spoilers teasing what viewers can expect when the show returns.
