These days, it seems you can’t say the name Miley Cyrus without someone bringing up the Vanity Fair photo scandal that happened earlier this year. This month, her father, Billy Ray, addressed the incident, saying that he wasn’t home at the time of the photo shoot with celeb photographer Annie Liebowitz. He did tell The Today Show that he told his daughter things would blow over. Unfortunately for the Cyrus family, that day has yet to come. Perhaps the media, and fans, have been waiting for Miley to address the photos herself. They finally got their wish when the Hannah Montana star opened up to Billboard magazine this week.

Miley Cyrus fans should brace themselves for a bitter side of the Hannah Montana star, as she gets ready to release her newest video, “7 Things” this weekend on ABC. It will debut after an airing of the movie The Haunted Mansion on The Wonderful World of Disney. The video is directed by Brett Ratner, who previously directed X-Men: The Last Stand and Rush Hour 3. Miley’s new song is about getting over the boyfriend who wronged her and rumors are swirling that the lyrics are about none other than Nick Jonas. The two dated last year but he wanted to keep their relationship a secret. When she gave him a kiss on stage in front of thousands of female fans, he abruptly ended their relationship.

Where are Miley's parents when they're most needed? When Miley posed for a Vanity Fair photo shoot earlier this year, neither Tish nor Billy Ray Cyrus were anywhere to be found. Only the Disney star's manager chaperoned the shoot, but didn't step in when celebrity photographer Annie Liebovitz asked the 15 year old to take her clothes off. What resulted was a photo of Miley Cyrus, wrapped only in a blanket, in a very provocative photo. Miley apologized, Annie defended, and the media ate it up.
Besides the Vanity Fair pictorial, Miley has posted some sexy photos of her own, from kissing other girls to showing off her lingerie to crawling all over several different boys. While BuddyTV readers have defended her, saying that she's just been a teen, they might change their tune when they find out the new fan base Miley has picked up as a result of her new sexy image.

After months of silence, Billy Ray Cyrus has finally publicly addressed his daughter Miley’s controversial Vanity Fair photo shoot. Back in April, the Hannah Montana star was extremely embarrassed when pictures taken by celebrity photographer Annie Liebowitz hit the internet. The picture that drew the most criticism and backlash was one of the 15 year old wrapped only in a blanket and showing her bare back. Miley immediately apologized to her fans while Liebowitz defended her photograph, saying that it was “a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup.” Billy Ray gave his perspective today to Meredith Viera on The Today Show.

It should come as no surprise that Forbes magazine named Oprah Winfrey its most powerful celebrity. After all, last year, she banked an unbelievable $275 million. Though ratings for her talk show have slowly declined, Oprah is smart enough to pursue other business ventures to ensure her success. Next year, she'll unveil The Oprah Winfrey Network, which is partnered with Discovery Communications. She has a 3 year, $55 million deal with XM Radio and her Harpo production company is responsible for the success of The Dr. Phil Show and The Rachael Ray Show. Tiger Woods, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce Knowles, and David Beckham rounded out the top 5. This year, tweens made a strong showing on the list, especially those that hail from The Disney Channel.

Mitchel Musso is certainly one busy teen. The Hannah Montana star may not get a lot of down time but he doesn't seem to mind. He recently wrapped filming on his new Disney Channel Original Movie, Hatching Pete, and is focusing on shooting Hannah Montana: The Movie, in Tennessee. He lends his voice to the Disney Channel animated show, Phineas and Ferb, and has been focusing on his music career as well. The actor, who turns 17 in a few weeks, sat down with BuddyTV in an exclusive interview to talk about his latest project, appearing on the Disney Mania album, now in stores.
Below, you will find the complete transcript and mp3 of the interview.

Filming for Hannah Montana: The Movie is in full swing, and fans can expect a lot of cameos from country music’s top stars. Already, Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift have been confirmed as guest stars in the movie. "I'm making a cameo so I'm so excited about that,” Swift told People magazine recently. “I'm playing one of my own songs and [am] just in the background of one of the scenes." Billy Ray Cyrus insisted on adding another character to the movie, the great state of Tennesse, where he and his family are from. In an interview with OK! Magazine, Cyrus opened up about how he convinced Disney to film in his home state.

When Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus posted several sexy pictures of herself, BuddyTV readers came to her defense in droves, saying that she was just being a typical teen. Picture of her in her underwear, in a bikini, pretending to kiss other girls, lying across the laps of boys have made their way around the internet, posted on gossip sites and entertainment blogs around the world. It seems, perhaps, that the photos aren’t as harmless as her fans may think and have attracted attention from the wrong kind of people. It was reported this week that Cyrus is grounded for talking to older men online and flirting with them.
