As we get closer and closer to Grey‘s Anatomy‘s September 24 season 6 kick-off, it looks darker and darker for the ABC medical drama. Kevin McKidd, who plays trauma surgeon Owen Hunt on the show, previously said that the upcoming season is bound to be very dark, as if cancer and PTSD and creepy death row patient weren‘t dark enough last season. This time, Jessica Capshaw, who was recently promoted to series regular, said it‘s going to be dark alright, dark and heavy.

Remember Preston Burke‘s (Isaiah Washington) intended wedding vows to Cristina (Sandra Oh), which he didn‘t get to say on Grey‘s Anatomy? He recited it in an OR full of women, that included Izzie (Katherine Heigl), Callie (Sara Ramirez) and the now departed Addie (Kate Walsh). He was saying, "I am not optimistic, I am not hopeful. I am sure," and right there and then, a song started playing - Ray LaMontagne‘s Hold You In My Arms. Burke continued with his vow and right after he finished, the song got louder, getting to the chorus. Everyone was speechless, until Addison broke the silence and said, "I think I speak for every woman in this room when I say dump her, dump Yang and marry me."

By now, everyone who can‘t wait for Grey‘s Anatomy‘s September 24 return know that the dish about George (TR Knight) and Izzie (Katherine Heigl), two characters whose lives were left hanging at the end of season 5.
