In honor of Mother's Day, BuddyTV has compiled this list of our 10 favorite motherly moments.
This one is probably a bit cruel, and is most likely on this list because of my general distaste for Meredith Grey as a character, but no greater motherly moment came on Grey's Anatomy than when Ellis grey (Kate Burton) temporarily recovered from her Alzheimer's only to be horrified by the fact that her once-driven daughter has settled for being a content intern dating a doctor.

I have been in such Cristina Yang withdrawal lately. She’s been moping around all season, and stands by, silently, every time Erica Hahn passes her over for a surgery. Where's the Cristina we used to know and love?
Last night, Grey’s gave us a little Burke update, in case anyone was wondering how life after Seattle Grace was treating him. When a newspaper article, about Burke winning the highly regarded Harper-Avery Award, was pinned up on the hospital bulletin board, Cristina was forced to face two realities. The first was that she would only hear of him through stories and news articles. The second was that Burke now behaves as if Cristina never existed, which she realized when he did not even mention her name as a person who helped him reach the pinnacle of his career.

Tonight's Grey's Anatomy is all about sex. What else is new? Callie (Sara Ramirez) is still sleeping with McSteamy (Eric Dane) – during work hours in the on-call room, even – and all of the nurses have risen up against him, refusing to assist him in any surgeries. As a result, the nurses have brought in a union rep and a nurse mediator (who turns out to be none other than the Chief's wife Adele) to institute a new "date and tell" policy. Now, everyone who works at Seattle Grace who has sex-syoo-uhl relations with anyone else must report it. This strikes me as terribly unethical and unrealistic, but leave it to Grey's Anatomy to check reality at the door.
Richard (James Pickens Jr.), hoping to prove to Adel that he has learned to delegate more, appoints George (T.R. Knight) to be "the Chief's intern," which means that George gets to run around the hospital like the sex police and make everyone fill out forms about whom they are sleeping with. He goes around telling everyone, "The chief needs to know who you've slept with by the end of the day. Be thorough." [click, click of the pen.] Well, to everyone except for Bailey, who is the only one who is exempt.

Ooh Grey's Anatomy, you're just starting to get good again. Don't blame me, even Entertainment Weekly admitted that the show tanked a little in season 4. Now, you've got Rebecca's fake pregnancy, Callie's sexuality, Meredith and Derek's close working relationship, George's friendship with Lexie, and many other things to keep me counting the minutes until Thursday nights. ABC released the episode descriptions for the rest of the season and it sounds like Grey's will leave us this season with some shocking revelations and storylines that will keep us talking all summer.

As Dr. Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) discovered in last night's episode of Grey's Anatomy, so much has changed at Seattle Grace Hospital, and yet so little.
First, might I comment on how ravishing the newly raven-haired Addie is?
Addison's return last night did little to advance the plot of Grey's Anatomy. Her presence was more of a device that allowed us to stop for a moment and assess the season's current progress. I suppose after such a long hiatus, Shonda thought we needed a primer or something.

Previously, on Grey’s Anatomy, the Seattle Grace resident competed in a surgical competition, which Meredith won. Cristina was overly jealous with Callie's close relationship with Hahn. George decides that he wants to continue living with Lexie.
Bailey is the first to greet Addison and welcome her back to Seattle Grace. Addison reminds her (and the viewers) that she won’t be staying long. Inside, she has an awkward reunion with Meredith and Derek. She is under the mistaken assumption that the two are still together. Sloan propositions her for sex – at least some things haven’t changed.

Erica Hahn was a recurring character throughout the first few seasons of Grey’s Anatomy. She is a rival of former Seattle Grace employee Dr. Preston Burke, as the two are both in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. They attended school together at Johns Hopkins Medical School but since they were not friends, not much was ever revealed about her via Preston. Not that he ever revealed much about anything anyway. In this week’s episode, Addison returns to Seattle and finds that Callie and Hahn have become great friends. She even asks Callie if the two are dating. Callie tries to laugh it off but it’s got Grey’s fans wondering…

As much as I enjoy watching the antics of the doctors on Grey's Anatomy, every Thursday when it's on, I count my lucky stars that Seattle Grace Hospital is purely fictional.
Our favorite four residents at Seattle Grace were in the midst of a resident competition in last night's episode. For two weeks, they lived at the hospital, fighting over surgeries and scoring points for each procedure they get to do. But actually, they should just give up because they are all horrible doctors. None of them even saw fit to examine Jennifer (Clea Duvall), whose scalp was hanging on by a thread. Here's a tip, doctors: If someone is bleeding, examine them!
