As reported previously, ABC Family has ordered more episodes of Greek and Lincoln Heights to join the network's slate of new originals this year. Yesterday, the network finally announced the much awaited premiere dates for both series.
Greek, teen drama that centers on college freshman Rusty (Jacob Zachar) who's determined not to continue on his bookish geekiness from his high school days by entering the Greek system, returns with 10 new episodes instead of the initially hinted 12 installments for its sophomore season, which will kick off on Tuesday, August 26 at 9pm ET/PT.

Soaring on its highly successful pilot run, which found it consistently atop the field among viewers aged 18-34 years old, Greek has buffed up its cast anew for its approaching second season. According to a TV Guide exclusive, 26-year old Michael Rady is Greek's newest recruit, said to play the perfect foil for Casey (Spencer Grammer), and perhaps even Rusty (Jacob Zachar), in the coming new season.
Rady joins Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum, Charisma Carpenter, as the most recent additions to the Greek canvas. We'd earlier reported that Carpenter, who portrayed Cordelia Chase on both Joss Whedon cult favorites, will be reprising her role from the first season finale to return in the second season opener.

Greek has just ended its pilot run with the gang hitting the beach for spring break. Casey (Spencer Grammer)has left all her emotional baggage back at school for some fun in the sun, while Rusty (Jacob Zachar) realized that the beach bum lifestyle isn't for him and reunites with old friends on his way back to Cyprus-Rhodes University. It's going to take several months before Greek fans find out what's going to happen next season. Luckily, we have the scoop to ease the long wait.

Maybe you don't like fraternities and sororities. Maybe you hate nepotism and therefore refuse to watch a show starring Kelsey Grammer's daughter. Or maybe you're just inherently opposed to anything on ABC Family. Whatever the reason, odds are that you haven't discovered Greek, a dramedy about college life that returns with the second half of its first season tonight at 8pm on ABC Family. I'm here to tell you it's well worth watching.
Greek is one of the most likable shows on TV, full of wit and emotional drama. It follows mismatched siblings Rusty and Casey Cartwright (Jacob Zachar and Spencer Grammer) as they navigate Greek life at the same college. He is a nerdy physics savant who longs to break out of his shell while she is the newly minted president of her sorority.

Amber Stevens is most known for her portrayal of Ashleigh on ABC Family's Greek, but while the show is on a break, the young actress has been busy pursuing another one of her passions: singing.
Stevens has always been interested in music, and has been playing piano for twelve years. While she has yet to earn awards for her acting prowess, she has won several singing competitions, and has even sung back-up for Gladys Knight. She also participated in the on-stage chorus for FOX's American Idol.
