Each week on Ghost Whisperer, we learn more about the extent of Aiden‘s powers, which is becoming more of a concern for Melinda since she can‘t see everything Aiden sees and doesn‘t know how to protect him. Halloween is a very significant time of year for Ghost Whisperer as it gives the writers the opportunity to tap into some infamous folklores and ghost stories. This season, the show is giving a modern twist to the legend of Sleepy Hallow.  The myth says that the headless horseman was one of the Hessians killed in a battle for Chatterton Hill during the American Revolutionary War, wherein his head was severed by a cannonball. And though he was buried in a graveyard outside a church, he appears as a ghost to night travelers and decapitates its victims.
