CBS's Everybody Loves Raymond chronicles the life of Italian-American Ray Barone (played by Ray Romano), a newspaper sports columnist from Lynbrook, Long Island. He resides with his wife Debra (Patricia Heaton), his daughter Ally (Madylin Sweeten) and his twins Michael (Sullivan Sweeten) and Jeffrey (Sawyer Sweeten). Ray's brother and parents serve as the bane of his existence, as they never give his family a moment of peace. Robert Barone (Brad Garrett), Ray's brother, is a workaholic divorcee who moved back with his parents. He leads a monotonous life, thus being the center of most jokes in the family. Marie Barone, Ray and Robert's mother is a very intrusive and over-nurturing woman, while Frank, her husband, is crude and derisive. Everybody Loves Raymond follows a family of different personalities and issues as they try to weave through each day without getting too much on each other's nerves.
