When we last saw rocker doctor Ray Barnett (Shane West) on ER, he was heading home to Baton Rouge to see his mother. He was mending a broken heart and recovering from a tragic car accident that caused him his two legs.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the star of A Walk to Remember will return on ER's 15th season, specifically on the October 30 episode. Thanks to cutting-edge prosthetics and months of rehab, Barnett will once again be able to walk on his own.

Remember that diminutive and petite dark-haired girl with the plaintive eyes, who captured the hearts of fans on the cult show, Roswell? Shiri Appleby, who played Liz Parker for three seasons on the show, has just been plucked out of post-Roswell near-anonymity to join the long-running ER.
Appleby joins the ensemble cast of the groundbreaking medical drama along with Julian Morris, Emily Rose and Victor Rasuk. Along with talented veteran actress Angela Bassett, all four new recruits look to add color to ER's coming 15th and final season in the fall.

Now that we're only a few months away from the kick off of the fall season, numerous television shows are recruiting new actors. Premiering programs are adding main cast members, returning series are booking recurring roles, and familiar faces from other shows are landing new, exciting jobs. It feels like nearly every actor in Hollywood is signing up for something. Let's just cross our fingers and hope that the rumored Screen Actors Guild strike, which could happen in July, doesn't derail things.
Today we have casting news for Knight Rider, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and a few other shows. Read on for all the details.

We recently reported on how much the Hollywood couple George Clooney and Sarah Larson liked cuddling up on a warm sofa and tuning into the crazy reality show, Rock of Love. Along with the end of the second season of the dating game, it seems that 47-year-old actor and 29-year-old former Las Vegas cocktail waitress decided to call it quits. An insider reportedly said that Larson had moved out of Clooney's home in Los Angeles shortly after the break-up.
"George is relieved to be single again," an insider told In Touch Weekly. "He thinks Sarah is sweet and that is why it was so hard to break up with her."

ER, television's longest-running medical drama, which has earned more Primetime Emmy Award nominations than any other program in history, has just been added to ION Television's primetime lineup in June. But fans won't just be enjoying a few weekly episodes of the medical drama as the network kicks off with a marathon of back-to-back episodes featuring guest stars who have either won or been nominated for Emmy Awards.
The marathon starts with three episodes at 8pm to 11pm on June 9, 10 and 11, followed by two episodes from 8pm to 10pm on June 12. ER will then air in its regular timeslot Monday through Wednesday at 10pm beginning June 16.

ER has added yet another A-list actress to its ranks. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress Angela Bassett is joining the cast of the NBC medical drama for its 15th and final season.
Bassett will reportedly portray “a tough attending with a troubled past who's coming back to Chicago after a few years in Indonesia doing tsunami relief. Her arrival in the second episode next season promises to shake County General's ER to the core.”

NBC has just decided to pick up the Emmy Award-winning medical drama ER for a 15th and final season. This news comes as a pleasant surprise to fans considering that that many were led to believe that the current season, which is the 14th for the show, would be its last.
"ER is one of the greatest shows of all time and we can't wait to deliver to the audience the fantastic stories the series is known for," NBC co-chairman Ben Silverman said in a statement. "We will introduce new characters to the great ensemble."

The last pre-strike episode of ER aired last week, but word is still out whether the show is returning for another year, considering many had believed this season – the 14th for the show – would be its last. However, show star Parminder Nagra doesn't think the writers would let the long-running (not to mention Emmy Award-winning) series end without a proper conclusion.
"I don't think you can have a series that's been on for 14 years and have it end like that," Nagra, who plays Neela Rasgotra on ER, said.
