This Jerry Bruckheimer produced sci-fi series on CBS is an adaptation of a British thriller of the same name. The show follows Dr. Jacob Hood (Rufus Sewell), a special science advisor to the U.S. government who saves people from the worst abuses of science. He is accompanyed by his fiesty bodyguard, Rachel Young (Marley Shelton).

CBS ordered the show to series on May 12, 2008 with a thirteen episode initial order.

The show is being produced by Granada America, Jerry Bruckheimer Television, and Warner Bros. Television.
