Unfortunately, Ricky Gervais wasnt the high point in this years Golden Globe Awards. His return to the show saw the Brit comedians quips neutered, despite his best attempts to really rip the Hollywood establishment apart. Sure, there was his F-bomb, and there was his pretty good take on Natalie Portmans pregnancy causing a nomination drought, but it was the establishment -- Madonna and Colin Firth, specifically -- who properly ripped into Ricky.Not that Im a heartless guy. The Golden Globes clearly loved the new shows of 2011. For this years Golden Globe Awards, 11 different shows that premiered this year scored major nominations, including Showtimes Homeland which scored three noms and FOXs New Girl which picked up two.
