Last week, The Sun and several media sources have reported that the long-running British science fiction television series, Doctor Who, is about to culminate after the fourth season finishes next year. It has been reported that the show’s executive producer Russell T. Davies, who is exhausted from the 16-hour production days, plans to pursue other projects, deciding to put an end to award-winning show while it’s still on top of the ratings. In addition, it has been said that many senior staff members working on the series have been contemplating on handing in their resignations.
However, these are all just rumors. According to BBC, the network’s executives have a long-term commitment to the science fiction drama. And even if Davies decides to leave the show, Doctor Who will still continue without him.
