Though I was only in Los Angeles for four days of panel sessions at the Television Critics Association press tour, it was enough to glimpse the utter insanity that is the event. Days are packed with session after session as more than 100 TV critics ask questions to the new stars and showrunners as well as network executives.
Some panels aren't quite as packed as others, which makes it easy to notice TV critic biases. Getting the press to ask questions to The Real Housewives of Atlanta was like pulling teeth. However, if you stick around long enough you're bound to get a few hilariously off-the-cuff quotes. Culled from four days and more than 30 panels, I present my 10 favorite quotes from my time at this year's press tour.

We've been waiting months to find out the official schedule for San Diego Comic-Con, which takes place from July 24–27. With so many actors, directors, producers and creators from the world of film and television attending the convention, not to mention an array of comic book writers and artists, the schedule is often kept under wraps until the last minute. Today Comic-Con.org finally unveiled the itinerary for Thursday the 24th and Sunday the 27th, which is filled with so many big stars and exciting events that it could easily send a pop culture-lover into hysterics. The schedule for Friday and Saturday, which contain the biggest panels, will likely be released in the next day or two.
Read on for all the details about the panels for Dexter, Smallville, Supernatural and other shows. Remember that BuddyTV will be updating straight from Comic-Con with all the latest news and information.

Sometimes, life is a mystery. The 34th Annual Saturn Awards were held earlier this week in Los Angeles. The Saturn Awards honor the very best in fantasy and science fiction film and television as voted on by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films. This week's awards honored the very best of 2007 and, not surprisingly, Lost cleaned up the television category. What is surprising (well, earth-shattering, really) is that Jennifer Love-Hewitt won the Best Television Actress category for her work on Ghost Whisperer. She beat out Evangeline Lilly from Lost, Lena Headey from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Holly Hunter from Saving Grace, Kyra Sedgwick from The Closer and Anna Friel from Pushing Daisies. Those other actresses are, unequivocally, better at acting than Love-Hewitt. So, how did she win? I have my theories (plus the results from the Awards ceremony).

Dexter will soon raid our TV screens when Showtime's psychological thriller returns for a third season this October. Last season, Dexter Morgan, a serial killer who works for the Miami Metro Police Department as a blood spatter analyst, was unable to satisfy his killer urges for over a month due to the discovery of his underwater dumping ground for his victims and the constant surveillance of Sgt. Doakes. After he realized that he was the cause of his father's death, Dexter started to question his identity and the “Code of Harry,” the belief system that rationalizes his existence and survival as a serial killer. In the explosive ending, Sgt. Doakes died and Dexter was able to get himself out of a tricky situation.
Now that Dexter is ready to embark on new bloodlust adventures, carefully killing the criminals that have slip through the justice system without the “Code of Harry,” the Miami Metro Police Department has to be more than ready to take down America's favorite serial killer.

Julie Benz graciously attended the Emerald City ComiCon held in Seattle, Washington this past weekend. Probably best known for playing the vampire Darla on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, Benz participated in a Q and A session during the event, allowing fans to personally ask her questions.
Benz started out the session tentatively, just repeating "Hi" over and over again. It was endearing that she looked so hesitant and awkward at being in the spotlight.
