On Desperate Housewives, Nicollette Sheridan plays serial divorcee Edie Britt who can be quite competitive when it comes to anything romantic (or real estate). In real life, 44-year-old Sheridan's first marriage was to actor Harry Hamlin (LA Law) in 1991. That didn't last long, as the two broke up a mere two years later.
After being engaged to Swedish personal trainer Nicklas Söderblom next for less than a year in 2005, the Desperate Housewives star went to date again ex-boyfriend and Grammy Award-winning singer Michael Bolton, whom she first started dating in 1992. The two got engaged in 2006. There were even rumors that Sheridan was pregnant during the engagement. The couple's publicist Nicole Perna announced that Sheridan and Bolton ended their engagement “amicably” last August 26.

In July, we reported that Tin Man star Neal McDonough will be moving to Wysteria Lane as Nicollette Sheridan's love interest. The star of the three-part miniseries re-imaging of the classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was picked to be part of the regular cast next season. He will play a new white-collar resident who, due to some turn of events, will meet Edie Britt, and the rest, as they say, is history.
The former star of Boomtown shared his thoughts on how things are on the set of Desperate Housewives and whether or not Nicollette finally struck gold, romantically speaking, with his character.

The fourth season finale of Desperate Housewives, which featured the infamous five-year jump to the future, saw Susan kissing someone not Mike, Bree finally turning into Martha Stewart, like everyone expected, Lynette's twins not growing up the way she liked them too, and Gabby turning out fat and very unglamorous. Despite the differing opinions on the effect of this little device, Desperate Housewives will move on with its fifth season this fall, and one of its writers and consulting producer said that, yes, viewers will get to see “some flashbacks,” but not too much.
"You'll see some flashbacks,” revealed Jeff Greenstein. “Occasionally there will be some things you've missed that we'll have to explain. There's going to be some things you've missed that we're not going to explain so quickly. [However,] we're not doing Lost. We're not slaves to flashbacks."

If reports are to be believed, it was fate that had Desperate Housewives' Eva Longoria and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham teaming up to open a special restaurant in Las Vegas. It was said that Hollywood couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore introduced the two wives to the game.
Longoria will supposedly handle the food aspect of things, as the second branch of her Beso eatery franchise, while Beckham will take care of the casino, which will be the nightspot's other attraction. According to a source, the two are very excited at the business venture.

Eva Longoria has claimed, and it's true, that the pile of pounds she packed on lately is to catch up with Gabrielle Solis' five-year transformation into the future. Gabby, of course, is the character she plays on ABC's Desperate Housewives. Last we checked, Gabby has evolved from the petite and bitchy housewife from the past few seasons to a mother of two who has obviously gained some heft.
“Five years on, Gabrielle has let herself go,” she says, “because Carlos [Solis, her husband] is blind and she's had two kids and she's let go of that vanity. I love it because my hair and make-up only takes ten minutes rather than the usual two hours.”

While most fans can't wait for September 28 to roll around with the debut of the fifth season of ABC's Desperate Housewives, some are already contemplating on whether the five year jump was a right move for the show, which is set to end in seven seasons, creator Marc Cherry revealed in last month's TCA. However, more recently, the executive producers for the dramedy, Bob Daily and Sabrina Wind sat down with the Boston Herald to talk about the five year leap and what will happen following the last season's ending.
"The jump will seem odd in the first episode, but at the end of the episode, people will be on board with it," Daily admits. "It will not be as jarring a change as people think it might be."
