With the final performance show for this season of Dancing with the Stars mere hours away, it is about just about that time when we begin to get nostalgic about this sixth season of Dancing with the Stars. I'm pretty certain that tonight's final performances will all be pretty darn good. None of them will even be close to making the list for worst performances of the season, so I think it's safe to take some time now to look back at the really big clunkers from this season.
This sixth season of Dancing with the Stars is actually quite possibly the best season yet, with the highest level of performance achieved, thanks to the likes of Kristi Yamaguchi, Jason Taylor and Cristian de la Fuente. There has been so much good about this season that it's hard to remember all the bad.

All three finalists this season of Dancing with the Stars have proven themselves to be top-notch dancers. I don't think anyone would question that Kristi Yamaguchi has ballroom talent to spare or that Jason Taylor is surprisingly nimble and light on his toes. But Cristian de la Fuente is the most approachable of the three finalists and may ride the wave of fan appreciation all the way to victory.
Cristian started out the season with middling scores, but under the adept tutelage of Cheryl Burke, he has managed to climb the ranks. Beginning with their jive in week 3, Cristian and Cheryl have been scoring very respectable 9s.

I have already expounded upon the topic of why I think Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas should take home the mirror ball trophy this week on Dancing with the Stars, but I think all three finalists have a shot at winning so, to be fair, I will now explain why Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska should win.
If you remember, I had hoped that Jason and Edyta would win the Dancing with the Stars title when I made my preseason rankings way back in March. My decision was based largely on the fact that I am a huge fan of Edyta's. She has graced the dance floor for all six seasons of the show's existence, and I really think it's time for her to win. But now that we've been able watch them these past nine weeks, I have been pleasantly surprised by Jason's dance abilities, and even if he were paired with another professional partner, I have come to believe that he would still have the goods to make it to the top.

With the semi-finals of Dancing with the Stars over this week, it's time to get serious. Who has what it takes to win the mirror ball trophy?
It wouldn't be a stretch to say that the mirror ball trophy is Kristi Yamaguchi's to lose. She has been dominating the competition since the very beginning. She has been at the top of the judges' leaderboard every week, save weeks 7 and 8 when she only fell one place to the second highest spot.

The sixth season of Dancing with the Stars is nearing completion, and we are down to just three couples. We've got the technically flawless but somewhat soulless former Olympic gold medal winner, Kristi Yamaguchi, and her partner, the doe-eyed Mark Ballas. We've got the football star who cuts a striking figure, Jason Taylor, and his partner, the stunning and talented Edyta Sliwinska. Finally, we've got the scenery-chewing Latin heartthrob, Cristian de la Fuente, and his partner, two-time Dancing with the Stars champion Cheryl Burke.
There has been mild chatter in the blogosphere about whether or not Cristian de la Fuente deserves his spot in the final three. Some people, even some BuddyTV members, have been wondering whether Cristian faked the injury in his arm in order to gain sympathy votes from the home viewing audience.

Season 6 of Dancing with the Stars is nearing the end. In only one more week, we'll find out which of the four teams will become the sixth team to win the Dancing with the Stars mirror ball trophy. After last night's performances, only five points separate Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas at the top from Marissa Jaret Winokur and Tony Dovolani at the bottom, so it all comes down to how the audience votes.
Tonight, we found out which team will not be dancing in the finals next week. Read on to see what transpired during the broadcast.
