Last week on Dancing with the Stars, the celebrity dancers and their professional partners upped their game and performed one ballroom plus one Latin routine. The extra rehearsal time required to learn both routines took their toll on everyone, especially Cristian de la Fuente who suffered a ruptured tendon in his arm in the middle of his second performance. Fortunately for him and his partner Cheryl Burke, the voters liked his routine enough to keep him around for at least another week of competition.
There are still five teams remaining on Dancing with the Stars, and things are sure to get even more interesting. Will Kristi Yamaguchi regain the judges' favor after being relegated to second place? You better watch the performances tonight to find out. Keep refreshing your browser; I'll be here with live thoughts throughout the entire broadcast.

This week on Dancing with the Stars, the hipless wonder Shannon Elizabeth and her injury-prone partner Derek Hough were shown the door after failing to curry enough votes from us viewers at home.
This pair experienced many highs and lows during their time on the show. Derek was taken to the hospital twice in two weeks, first for a neck injury and then for food poisoning. One begins to wonder if someone else was trying to off him? Then the pair was caught kissing on camera when they went to a Malibu beach to film some rehearsal scenes. Next, they both unleashed their fury at the judges in their post-performance interview in week 6 about the fact that Shannon didn't have enough hip action. (It's true, you didn't. Go watch the performance tape, honey.)

We reported yesterday that Dancing with the Stars couple Mario Lopez and professional dancer Karina Smirnoff have called it quits. A source had told People Magazine that Smirnoff was seen canoodling with E! Entertainment personality Michael Yo, and moving out of Lopez's Los Angeles home.
What a difference a day makes. Today, both Lopez and Smirnoff are denying the rumors.
Smirnoff told Samantha Harris, co-host of Dancing with the Stars, "Mario and I are fine. It's all good."

For the first time this season of Dancing with the Stars, the teams were required to learn and perform two different routines in two different styles, and lots of dramatic events went down.
The big news from last night's Dancing with the Stars performance show was that Latin heartthrob Cristian de la Fuente was sent to the emergency room when he suffered what he thought was a pulled muscle. To add insult to injury, the judges awarded him with the lowest scores of the evening, leaving him more dependent than ever on audience favor.
In other shakeups, Olympic figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi ended the evening in second place! It was Jason Taylor who took top honors last night.

Last night's Dancing with the Stars was all about drama. Perennial frontrunner Kristi Yamaguchi suffered the ignominy of falling to second place on the leaderbaord, and Cristian de la Fuente had to interrupt his routine due to a severe muscle cramp in his arm that sent him to the emergency room.
Stay tuned for the entire hour tonight to see how Cristian is doing, to see who will get sent home, and to see Def Leppard! Def Leppard will be performing tonight! I'll be on hand providing live thoughts throughout the entire broadcast of Dancing with the Stars.

This week, for the first time in the Dancing with the Stars competition, the teams all had to prepare one ballroom routine and one Latin routine.
Tonight's Dancing with the Stars was very dramatic indeed. Kristi and Mark were finally kicked off of the top of the leaderboard, and Cristian was sent to the hospital in an ambulance after his samba. Read on to see who managed take over Kristi and Mark's place at the top, and how Cristian got hurt.

We are now in the seventh week of competition on Dancing with the Stars season 6. Beginning this week, the teams were required to learn and perform two separate routines, one in a ballroom style and one in a Latin style, for the judges to score. Now, with double the amount of work, the dancers are becoming more susceptible to injury. And tonight, half-way through the samba, his second performance of the evening, Cristian de la Fuente pulled a muscle in his arm.
Enduring the pain, he managed to finish the performance, but as soon as he stopped dancing, he grabbed his arm, wincing. Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron decided to cut to commercial so that emergency medical personnel could attend to Cristian's arm.

For the first time this season on Dancing with the Stars, each of the six remaining couples will now have to learn and perform two different routines in two different styles, and they will get judged on both of them. Historically, this is the point in the competition when the quality of performances takes a dive, as the celebrities cope with double the amount of work to. It'll be interesting to see how perennial frontrunner, Kristi Yamaguchi will fare tonight, whether she'll stay on top, or open the field for someone else to take the lead.
I'll be on hand throughout the entire broadcast of tonight's Dancing with the Stars performance show. Keep checking back!
