In last night's Dancing with the Stars results show, Mario and his partner Karina Smirnoff were shown the door, despite having outscored both Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska, and Marissa Jaret Winokur and Tony Dovolani. Mario took the news with grace and class, but Karina Smirnoff made little attempt to hide her contempt for the situation, grimacing and rolling her eyes throughout the final few minutes of last night's broadcast.
Karina is certainly making headlines lately. We reported earlier that she is FHM's 78th sexiest woman of 2008, that she and her third season partner Mario Lopez were broken up, and then not broken up. To top it off, she also took a public pot shot at Shannon Elizabeth for faking a romance with Derek Hough just to get votes in an In Touch interview. She's got a lot to say, that's for sure.

With only five teams remaining in this season's Dancing with the Stars competition, it's really anyone's game.
Cristian de la Fuente upset the leaderboard last night and walked away with three 10s, leaving Kristi Yamaguchi, normally in the number two spot. Marissa Jaret Winokur ended the night at the very bottom, despite performing two solid routines.
Read on to see what transpired in this 100th episode of Dancing with the Stars.

It's the 100th episode of Dancing with the Stars tonight! It's still a results show, so we'll find out which of the five remaining teams will be leaving. Hopefully, since it's their 100th-episode celebration, there will be higher-quality filler in this results show.
Last night was full of upsets when the one-armed bandit, Cristian de la Fuente, went home with the top scores. Stay with me throughout the hour as I provide you with live thoughts of the broadcast.

Week 8 of Dancing with the Stars began tonight with another night of ballroom and Latin routines. This week, for the first time in Dancing with the Stars history, the teams are allowed to perform one lift per routine.
Last week, Cristian de la Fuente sustained a serious arm injury in the middle of his samba, but he managed to work through his ruptured tendon to please the judges. Read on to find out how he and the other remaining celebrity dancers fared tonight.

Last week on Dancing with the Stars, the celebrity dancers and their professional partners upped their game and performed one ballroom plus one Latin routine. The extra rehearsal time required to learn both routines took their toll on everyone, especially Cristian de la Fuente who suffered a ruptured tendon in his arm in the middle of his second performance. Fortunately for him and his partner Cheryl Burke, the voters liked his routine enough to keep him around for at least another week of competition.
There are still five teams remaining on Dancing with the Stars, and things are sure to get even more interesting. Will Kristi Yamaguchi regain the judges' favor after being relegated to second place? You better watch the performances tonight to find out. Keep refreshing your browser; I'll be here with live thoughts throughout the entire broadcast.

This week on Dancing with the Stars, the hipless wonder Shannon Elizabeth and her injury-prone partner Derek Hough were shown the door after failing to curry enough votes from us viewers at home.
This pair experienced many highs and lows during their time on the show. Derek was taken to the hospital twice in two weeks, first for a neck injury and then for food poisoning. One begins to wonder if someone else was trying to off him? Then the pair was caught kissing on camera when they went to a Malibu beach to film some rehearsal scenes. Next, they both unleashed their fury at the judges in their post-performance interview in week 6 about the fact that Shannon didn't have enough hip action. (It's true, you didn't. Go watch the performance tape, honey.)

We reported yesterday that Dancing with the Stars couple Mario Lopez and professional dancer Karina Smirnoff have called it quits. A source had told People Magazine that Smirnoff was seen canoodling with E! Entertainment personality Michael Yo, and moving out of Lopez's Los Angeles home.
What a difference a day makes. Today, both Lopez and Smirnoff are denying the rumors.
Smirnoff told Samantha Harris, co-host of Dancing with the Stars, "Mario and I are fine. It's all good."
