It was Motown/R&B night last week on Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann, and Teams Carrie Ann and Bruno danced and sang to the best of their abilities. Dance War being the kind of reality show in which you wish everyone could succeed, it was so sad to learn that Team Bruno got fewer votes than Team Carrie Ann last week. Bruno Tonioli had to make the difficult decision of cutting one member of his singing and dancing team, and that person was Charity. Now that Bruno is down a member, we'll find out tonight if his team held their own against Carrie Ann's team or if he'll have to cut another member at the end of the night.
The stage is set for a country music night on Dance War. For their big opening number, both teams join to perform "Big & Rich." They've got cowboy hats and boots on, and there is fringe everywhere. I kind of love it. I haven't been a country music fan for much of my life, but I've just started getting into it, so I really appreciate tonight's theme.

As a dancer and television star, Dance War's Carrie Ann Inaba is pretty much professionally obligated to keep fit and trim. While we've seen that some celebrities can take the body obsession too far, there are some benefits to working in a profession where physical fitness is important. After all, if you make your living in an industry where a toned figure is pretty much a job requirement, it probably makes it much easier to prioritize fitting those gym visits into your schedule.
For many of us non-celebrities, though, it can be difficult to always find time for exercise, even though most of us know just how important it is for one's health and longevity, not just appearance. In order to encourage women to make time for this important activity, the Dance War star and other celebrities are offering some special items in an online auction.

It is Motown/R&B night tonight on Dance War. As usual, the two competing teams on Dance War, Team Bruno and Team Carrie Ann, open the hour with a big group dance. After their swinging, rocking, twirling number, Drew Lachey brings out captains Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba who recap their week of rehearsals.
Lacey, Charity, Kelsey, Phillip, Tony and Zack, otherwise known as Team Bruno, perform "Think," and Bruno has put Lacey in the spotlight by making her his personal Aretha Franklin. She's a talented singer, but she's no Aretha. After the performance, Carrie Ann's critiques are that there isn't a lot of balance in the talent-level of the group, but Bruno begs to differ.

Most of the performers who are taking a shot at stardom on Dance War are having their first taste of the world of competitive reality television. However, for one Dance War contestant, Zack Wilson, some of it might be familiar territory, at least second-hand.
Zack has a close connection to two of the professional dancers from Dancing with the Stars, Julianne and Derek Hough. The Houghs and Zack all honed their craft at the Center Stage Performing Arts Studio in Orem, Utah. Derek and Zack knew each other as friends, while Julianne and Zack had a much more serious relationship.

Last week on Dance War, the top 14 finalists from all across the country sang and danced in front of team captains Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, as well as a live audience. After careful deliberation, Bruno and Carrie Ann narrowed the field down to just 12 performers, and chose their teams. On Team Bruno are Zack, Tony, Lacey, Kelsey, Phillip and Charity. On Team Carrie Ann are Bradley, Chris, Mariel, Elizabeth, Qis and Allysa, Starting tonight, the two teams go head-to-head for the very first time, and we fans at home will be able to vote for our favorite. Next week, the losing team must eliminate a member.
It's pop music week this week on Dance War. The night begins with Team Bruno and Team Carrie Ann all performing "Spice Up Your Life" together.

Host of ABC's new performance competition Dance War, Drew Lachey might have been an unexpected breakout star prior to his time on Dancing with the Stars. Big brother Nick Lachey had seemed to be the biggest celeb in the reality television world for the family after his time on Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. But Drew's win of the second season of Dancing with the Stars gave him his own special place in the world of reality stardom.
He co-hosted part of the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars, and is now, of course, hosting Dance Wars. In case you just can't get enough of the former boy-bander, there will be some additional opportunities over the next few weeks.

ABC's new dance craze is back for its second week. Last week on Dance War, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba scoured the country looking for the most talented dancers who can sing and singers who can dance, and narrowed down the field to just 14 young hopefuls. And tonight on Dance War, we finally get to see Bruno and Carrie Ann go head-to-head as the first round of the battle begins.

Dancing with the Stars has been a strong performer for ABC, and American Idol is consistently a ratings powerhouse that can't be beat. So combining some elements of each show - as new series Dance War somewhat has - seems like a sure thing, right?
Well, it turns out that it might not be such a slam-dunk for Dance War. Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Drew Lachey all have their fans, but the premiere this past week didn't necessarily end up as an unqualified success.
