FX's newest original series, Damages, is set in New York, where Patty Hewes (played by Glenn Close) is a lawyer torn between her career and duty to her family as a mother and wife. The show follows the smart Hewes as she winds through her complicated life, making it into success and heading her own law firm, however not having any peers in the company. The show also narrates the events that follow Hewes & Associates as they represent around 5,000 employees filing a case against a tycoon who supposedly robbed them off their pensions.
