CSI: Miami: Say Hello Again To Alexx Woods

July 8, 2009

This one's barely in, again courtesy of Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, who pretty much is filling that one gap which I forgot to mention in yesterday's bit about the eighth season premiere of CSI: Miami.  You know, the one with the flashback circa 1997, the one with a definitely younger version of Horatio Caine, and the one with the... I'll continue it in the next paragraph.  It's still a spoiler.

'CSI: Miami' Spoiler Alert: A Flashback Answers The Big Question

July 7, 2009

CSI: Miami fans, I have some pretty juicy spoilers for you.  Well, I'll admit they aren't from me--credit is due to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, as always--but I can't resist calling them juicy anyway.  It's got answers to that question we were left with when the show's seventh season wrapped up: what the heck happened to Delko?  Spoilers after the click!

CSI: Miami: Eddie Cibrian Snags Regular Role

June 24, 2009

The search for a missing Delko just got a much-needed boost.  Actor Eddie Cibrian is joining the cast of CSI: Miami, popping up in the crime drama's eighth season as a regular.  He is set to play a police officer from Los Angeles who is moving to the Miami-Dade crime lab.

CBS Announces Fall Premiere Dates

June 24, 2009

Today CBS announced when its fall shows will premiere, and many of the dates are easy to remember because CBS is essentially launching all of its shows in a single week.  From Monday, September 21 to Sunday, September 27, CBS will premiere all but two of its shows.

Those exceptions include the newest season of Survivor, which premieres one week early to allow a two-hour premiere on Thursday. September 17, and the series premiere of Three Rivers starring Moonlight's Alex O'Loughlin which comes Sunday, October 4, one week late to allow The Amazing Race to have a two-hour premiere.

CSI: Miami: Looks Like It's Really Goodbye To Dr. Tara

June 10, 2009

Walk backwards, further, further, until you get back to what happened to the latest season of CSI: Miami.  You know, when we unearthed Tara's drug addiction issue, and how she almost broke up Horatio and Kyle by lying about her intake--well, until Ryan found out, let her slip the first time, and eventually gave her up to the police.  It's icky, stealing drugs kept as evidence in a murder case.

But what's telling was what happened afterwards--after she was arrested, we heard nothing.  Too quiet, in fact, to the point that during the season finale, Megalyn Echikunwoke's name disappeared from the opening credits entirely.  And then we asked, is she really gone from the show?  Or was it just a one-off?

The 'CSI' Franchise Case File: Couple vs Writer, or When Those Similarities Aren't Coincidential

May 29, 2009

It's another week, and what I thought would be some serious downtime isn't turning out to be just that.  The biggest news in CSI this week is, well, a lawsuit filed against the producers!  Sure you've heard of this, but I'll have my own take on this later.  Also on this week's case file, Delko talks about girlfriend materials, and Mac talks about why he's happy with having a secure job in New York.

The 'CSI' Franchise Case File: When Budget Cuts Cause Death

May 22, 2009

So we meet again.  It's been roughly a week since the CSI season finales, and there've been a lot of things, I know.  While it wasn't that spectacular in Las Vegas (although I thought otherwise, since that's what they usually do anyway), there was a missing cop in Miami, and there was a dead cop in New York--and maybe more.  Now, there's this five month wait before new episodes return in the fall, and that means the news tap would run a little dry, but right now, we still have a few things to deal with: what just happened.  On this edition of the case file, Emmanuelle Vaugier discusses her death in CSI: NY, and possible plans for the tenth season--tenth!--of the mother show, CSI.

CBS' Fall Lineup: 'Medium' Changes Networks, 'Mentalist' Changes Nights

May 20, 2009

Continuing in this exciting week of Fall schedules, CBS revealed its lineup today, and while many shows remain fixed, there are some big moves.  The Mentalist, this past season's top new show, will get the coveted post-CSI timeslot Thursdays at 10pm.

And one day after NBC officially cancelled Medium, CBS scooped it up and Patricia Arquette will now see ghosts right after Jennifer Love Hewitt does the same thing on Ghost Whisperer.
