Cold Case, the forensic drama about a police division that specializes in investigating old and unsolved crimes, recently caught the attention of the Culture & Media Institute, which claims that a particular episode of the CBS series offensively portrayed Christians.
The conservative group, which aims “to advance, preserve, and help restore America's culture, character, traditional values, and morals against the assault of the liberal media," even described the episode entitled “That Woman,” which aired on September 30, as “a ham-handed attempt to influence this fall's congressional debate on abstinence education programs.”

After four years, the cast and crew of Cold Case remain keen and optimistic about what the future may hold for this CBS drama. Part of the excitement is due to the fact that the hour-long police procedural drama will soon trample onto its 100th episode in just a few weeks. Marking the milestone is the episode entitled “World's End,” which is scheduled to air on Sunday, November 4.
Kathryn Morris, who plays the lead character, Detective Lilly Rush, celebrated Cold Case's 100th episode with a bash two weeks ago, along with the rest of the cast and crew of the series.

Detective Lilly Rush of CBS' Cold Case was on the receiving end of some devastating blows last season that even Kathryn Morris, the actress who plays her, has begun to grow concerned over just how she will carry on.
“Lilly's been a little overly angst ridden -- I've been worried about her myself,” Morris told Hollywood.com. “I really felt like I needed to take Lilly Rush out for a girls' night or go to the movies, try to set her up on a blind date, something for God sakes. I told the writers, 'Look, I'm worried. Lilly, she's just going to off herself. I just know it.'"

When last season came to a close, Detective Lilly Rush, played by Kathryn Morris, was fighting for her life, after being gunned down. Ahead of that the investigator with a chip on her shoulder had just lost her alcoholic mother.

Kathryn Morris is getting rewarded for leading Cold Case, one of the steadiest ratings performers of CBS. The 38-year-old actress, who plays Philadelphia homicide detective Lilly Rush on the series, is getting a raise for the upcoming season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she will now be earning between $180,000 and $190,000 per episode.
Aside from getting an increase in salary, Morris' new deal also includes a production venture. Just like Anthony LaPaglia, star of another CBS crime drama series, Without A Trace, Morris will also be setting up her own production company at Warner Bros. TV, which produces Cold Case with Jerry Bruckheimer TV and CBS Paramount. This enables the studio to have the first crack at the projects her company develops.
