As the 2007-2008 television continues, the number of new episodes for several television shows is rapidly dwindling. In the case of CBS' Cold Case, only 13 episodes were completed before the strike began, and last Sunday's broadcast was already the 12th in the season. This means that show fans only have one more new episode to look forward to in the coming weeks.
Cold Case's remaining pre-strike episode is called “Spiders.” For those who want a sneak peek into the upcoming installment, read on for some mild spoilers.

Kate Purdy only started working as a writer for CBS' Cold Case this year, but this has not stopped her from joining the show's writing veterans on the picket lines for the ongoing writers' strike. In fact, she's currently serving as a strike captain, organizing a group of 50 picketers each day.
At the root of the strike, Purdy said, is the “huge impact” of the world wide web. "We're asking for 2.5 cents on every dollar they make from revenues resulting from shows being downloaded on the Internet,” she explained, adding that the “unfortunate thing is we can't even get the CEOs to negotiate or listen to any of our proposals. They seem to be hoping we'll cave without them having to give anything."

Cold Case, the forensic drama about a police division that specializes in investigating old and unsolved crimes, recently caught the attention of the Culture & Media Institute, which claims that a particular episode of the CBS series offensively portrayed Christians.
The conservative group, which aims “to advance, preserve, and help restore America's culture, character, traditional values, and morals against the assault of the liberal media," even described the episode entitled “That Woman,” which aired on September 30, as “a ham-handed attempt to influence this fall's congressional debate on abstinence education programs.”
