Ok, everyone, two important things to address: 1) No, I am not dead and 2) Yes, Bones has finally returned, so we can all just take one deep sigh of relief.  Better?  Alright, let‘s get to it!This week‘s episode of Bones, the Season 6 premiere entitled "The Mastodon in the Room" picked up seven months later from where we left off last season, with Booth in Iraq, Brennan and Daisy in Indonesia, Hodgins and Angela in Paris, and Sweets and Cam left in D.C.  Upon receiving an urgent call from Caroline, all the Squints return to help Cam keep her job. Read more »

Start your day off with a bite of the latest TV news in 300 words. Brennan‘s POVHere is a Bones spoiler to wrap your head around. An upcoming episode of Bones will be told primarily from Brennan‘s point of view. Executive producer, Stephen Nathan, says "It‘s a very stylized episode where Brennan is investigating a murder of someone who appears to be her." This storytelling device has been used before, most recently in an episode of House when Mos Def suffered from Locked-in Syndrome. It is a fascinating way to see a different perspective, but I have one issue. If the whole thing is from Brennan‘s POV, does that mean we don‘t get to see our girl the entire episode? Let‘s hope not! Alright, Bones fans, it‘s official.  This week‘s episode, "The Couple in the Cave," featured the introduction of Booth‘s new girlfriend, war correspondent Hannah Burley, and I think it‘s pretty safe to say that she‘s already shaking things up.  "Like what?" you might ask.  Hmm, let me think...oh, yes, now I remember.  In a mere sixty minutes, this woman has managed to totally destroy my emotional wellbeing.  Awesome, right?  Thank you, Bones writers. Read more »
OK, Bones fans. I have to say that this week‘s episode, "The Maggots in the Meathead," was one of the best I‘ve seen in awhile, and it has definitely been added to my list of favorites.  The best part of this week‘s episode? Dr. Temperance Brennan, ladies and gentleman. Mad props to Emily Deschanel for doing such a great job this week, and I‘d also like to say a special thanks to the Bones writers for giving us such a great episode. Well done everyone! Read more »
Having tackled current reality television in last week‘s "The Maggots in the Meathead," Bones is now ready to gain inspiration from 1990s children‘s science programming. Read more »
Alright, Bones fans, so, I have to say that apart from the amazing guest appearance by David Alan Grier as Professor Bunsen Jude "The Science Dude" in the most recent episode of Bones, "The Body in the Bounty," I wasn‘t very crazy about this episode.  I mean, it had some good laughs of course, but I wish it had more in the way of character storylines. I don‘t know about you, but I‘m definitely missing the old Booth and Brennan dynamic. But, I suppose that‘s a discussion for another time. Now, let me break down this week‘s episode. What did you think of David Alan Grier‘s performance or The Science Dude as a whole?>>   Read more »
Do you feel that there aren‘t enough socially inept geniuses solving crime on TV these days? When Bones is over, do you just want to see more? Ever wish that Brennan was a guy?If the answer to any of these questions is "yes," then you are very much in luck. Deadline.com has reported that Fox and Hart Hanson are planning a Bones spinoff with such a character in the lead role.  Read more »
Today is apparently International Caps Lock Day on the Internet, and the BuddyTV writers aren‘t just celebrating: We‘re cele-berating, by using our caps lock key to virtually yell at the people on TV who piss us off. They may be kind of hard to read, but isn‘t that the point? It‘s clear these characters are in need of some serious tough love. Read them, then try your own!  Read more »
No, Brennan isn‘t getting a boyfriend. It‘s much darker than that.We haven‘t seen many truly evil bad guys so far in this season of Bones. Back in the good old days of the Gravedigger and Gormogon, the cases were started by some truly nasty types and not by fed-up bartenders. Not that this was a problem during the magnificent "Maggots in the Meathead" episode, but that was a sympathetic killer.  Read more »
Start you week off with today‘s TV news in 300 words. Two TV Stars Tie the KnotCongratulations to Bones‘ Emily Deschanel and It‘s Always Sunny in Philadelphia‘s David Hornsby on beginning their new life together. The couple wed over the weekend in Los Angeles. This cute pair seems like a match made in TV heaven; two lovable TV stars finding love off screen. How cool would it be if the couple agreed to a Bones/Sunny crossover episode? I already have a title: The Green Man in the Pub [TV Guide] Read more »
Hello again, Bones fans! It seems as though it has been forever since we last met, but thanks to the San Francisco Giants‘ win in the World Series earlier this week, a new episode of Bones entitled "The Bones That Weren‘t" finally aired on FOX. So, again, thank you, Giants, and congratulations! Read more »
It is the considerable opinion of BuddyTV that the people should not be allowed to vote. This morning the 2011 People‘s Choice Award nominees were announced and the choices are less than inspired. Sure, like a broken clock, some of the choices show an impressive exhibition of taste (nominating Ian Somerhalder‘s highly entertaining performance on The Vampire Diaries), but mostly, it‘s an embarrassment. Read more »
As I was watching the newest episode of Bones tonight, "The Shallow in the Deep," I found myself truly enjoying it for the first time since this season began. Not only did this episode have a great premise and all the characteristics of an episode from last season, but you know what else was missing?  That‘s right, Hannah. Problem solved, my friends. Read more »
OK, my fellow Bones fans. This week‘s episode "The Babe in the Bar" was another great one in my book, and it was once again due to the fact that there was no Hannah. I mean, really, I don‘t think there could be a bigger hint for the Bones writers to take.  Also, I have to take this time to give the Bones crew their props for having one of the most disgusting openings I can remember seeing on the show. Job well done, guys. Read more »
FOX released its mid-season schedule today, and there are more big changes for American Idol. The show already has new judges and new rules, and now there are new days. After taking a little Thanksgiving break last week, Bones returned last night with an all-new episode entitled "The Twisted Bones in the Melted Truck."  Now, I have to admit that I really wasn‘t expecting a lot from this episode going into it, but it actually pleasantly surprised me.  I feel like we‘re slowly but surely returning to normal.  Don‘t you?       Read more »
Well, fellow Bones enthusiasts, in the latest episode of Bones, "The Doctor in the Photo," it was all Brennan, all the time. But hey, I‘m not complaining. In fact, I think it‘s time the Emmy people finally started showing our girl Emily Deschanel some love. Don‘t you guys agree? After all, she did an amazing job in this episode, and I have to say that it was definitely one of the most unique episodes of Bones I‘ve seen so far. Plus, I totally loved the mini Veronica Mars reunion. But now, without further ado, let‘s break down this episode. Read more »
Relationships are tricky business, particularly if you‘re either a rich and famous Hollywood star or a fictional character. In Shipping News each week, I break down for you the three most note-worthy (to me!) relationships -- i.e., ships -- o‘ the week into the Tip-Top Ship Shape (for the best ship of the week), That Ship Has Sailed (for romances that fell apart) and You Sunk My Relation Ship (for the most devastating moment in a romance we‘re shipping for). Got a duo you‘re totally shipping for? Drop me a line in the comments, and you may see them featured here.  Read more »
We‘re counting down the days until Christmas, and it just takes too long to send a handwritten note these days. We thought we‘d streamline the process for Santa a bit and put all our e-mails to Santa here so he can access them on the go with his iPhone. If he doesn‘t have an iPhone by now, the elves aren‘t doing their job. So here are BuddyTV‘s Christmas wishes for television.  Read more »
Hello, Bones fans! So I don‘t know about you, but I‘m personally still trying to get over the heartbreak and emotional damage that came with last week‘s mid-season finale. I mean, really Booth?  Really Bones writers?I don‘t even think we can use the excuse of trying to be true to the characters anymore because I think we can all agree that the Booth we have all known and loved for years now is not the same guy anymore, so my question is: Where do we go from here?  What can we expect from the second half of the season, and how do we get back to the old Bones? Well, of course I don‘t have all the answers to these questions, but I was able to gather up a few interesting tidbits for you guys to think about over the break. Check it out!  Read more »
It‘s been a long, dark December with no Bones to watch. The many-week hiatus has been especially hard, considering the last few scenes we saw before Bones left our televisions. Fortunately, there is a light at the end of this tunnel, and the first glimmerings are arriving, thanks to some new spoilers. Read more »
We still have more than a week until we get a new episode of Bones. But here are some news tidbits to help you pass the time until then. Read more »
It would seem like the writers and producers of Bones are as tired of the midwinter hiatus as the rest of us. With only a week to go until Bones returns with new episodes, there is a veritable flood of spoilers emerging about the show. It‘s none of that silly stuff about plots, crimes and investigations either. Nope, it‘s time for news about what really matters on Bones: the Brennan-Booth relationship. And the news is finally looking up. Read more »
Romantic relationships on TV shows don‘t always go the same way, but there are some standards. The show can totally deny feelings, engage in will-they-or-won‘t-they flirting or just bite the relationship bullet. Need proof that these are the routes? You don‘t need to look any further than Bones, Castle and Chuck. Read more »

Wow. They certainly weren‘t kidding when they said that would be an "explosive" episode of Bones. I mean, a person‘s head literally exploded right in front of us. How gross was that?By the way, is it just me or are the bodies of the victims and the crime scenes on this season of Bones getting more and more gruesome and cringe-worthy? Well, in any case, let‘s get talking about exploding heads and personal vendettas on this week‘s episode, "The Bullet in the Brain." Read more »
Ever since Hannah came into Booth‘s life, Bones fans have creatively plotted ways on how to break up the happy couple (or even take her out of the picture for good). While her departure doesn‘t necessarily pave the way for Booth and Brennan‘s road to romance, knowing that a big obstacle like Hannah will soon be gone does make this whole ordeal a little bit more bearable. So how do we solve a problem like Hannah? Here‘s what our readers think: Read more »
OK, Bones fans, I have to admit that I wasn‘t really expecting a whole lot out of this week‘s episode, "The Sin in the Sisterhood," but, man, did it surprise me!  In one of my favorite episodes of season 6 so far, we saw some incredible Booth and Brennan moments reminiscent of past seasons as well as Cam finally getting some action in regard to her love life.  Oh, and another plus? No Hannah! Now, let‘s get recapping! Read more »
Alright, Bones fans, there is only one word on my mind right now: finally.  In case you happened to miss last night‘s episode, "The Daredevil in the Mold," brace yourselves because I‘ve got some big news.Hannah is gone!  Thank you universe and Bones writers for finally doing what should have been done a long time ago.  Now the path is clear for our beloved Booth and Brennan to finally get together.Did Booth Sabotage His Own Relationship?>>But will they?  Well, that certainly remains to be seen (although I‘ve totally got my fingers crossed), so for now, let‘s get recapping! Read more »
Ding dong, the witch is dead! That‘s what‘s going through Bones fans‘ minds after last night‘s huge final scenes where Booth and Hannah finally broke up. However, as much as we‘ve all wanted Hannah to go away, it was also a very sad moment as it sent FBI agent Seeley Booth into a pretty deep depression. But who‘s really to blame? Hannah may have rejected Booth‘s proposal, but should he have even proposed in the first place? And more importantly, did he know he‘d be rejected?  Read more »
Welcome to The GBU, a weekly column coming every Monday where I look at the Good, the Bad and the Ugly on TV.It‘s Valentine‘s Day, and as cold and shriveled as my heart may be, I still love a big, romantic gesture. (Image courtesy of FOX)That‘s the million dollar question isn‘t it? Showrunner Hart Hanson has skillfully managed the tension between Booth and Brennan well into its 6th season, and Hannah doesn‘t look like she‘s going anywhere (at least not for the time being). So, what do you think? Will Booth break up with Hannah and finally be with Brennan? Or are they just destined to be the couple that never got together, and stayed friends? Our friends over at The Founding Fathers, an excellent ‘Bones‘ forum, has a thought-provoking discussion about the past, present, and future of the Booth/Brennan saga.  Read more »

Bones is a show that wisely focuses on its characters. After all, there‘s just so much blood and guts and vomit-inducing mold that an audience can take. Of course, this means that sometimes it seems that the only Bones news is about who is breaking up or getting together with whom.Nothing wrong with that news. But there are a few other news pieces as well.  Read more »
Has Bones been too serious for you lately? If so, then you will most definitely love this week‘s Valentine‘s Day-themed episode. If you were one of the legions of fans who were less than impressed with one Hannah Burley, then last week‘s Bones episode must have made you happy. Hannah‘s refusal of Booth effectively shut the door on that relationship. We‘ve already seen how Booth isn‘t the type to hold out for the approval of a woman who‘s rejected him. Which means Booth and Hannah are finished! But what does this mean for Booth and Brennan? Are they finished too? Or are things just getting started. Read more »
Last week‘s episode, "The Daredevil in the Mold," officially extinguished one of the biggest love triangles on Bones but didn‘t necessarily pave the way for the much-awaited Booth and Brennan romance. In the end, Booth seemingly got what he deserved for hastily popping the question to Hannah, who in turn rejected his marriage proposal. (Get all the juicy details in this recap.) Brennan, on the other hand, had only two options: to either leave Booth‘s life or be his friend and nothing more. Of course, in true Brennan style, she kept her emotions to herself and chose the latter. Booth‘s ultimatum for Brennan certainly became a water cooler topic, leading us to question whether fans were satisfied with the way Booth and Brennan reacted to one another. Here are some of the answers: Read more »

For those of you who are unaware, this week we Bones fans were treated to a special Valentine‘s Day-themed episode of Bones entitled "The Bikini in the Soup."  Of course, as with any Bones episode, there was a murder to be solved, but what I loved most was that it was the characters‘ relationships that were at the forefront of this one.And really, who doesn‘t love seeing some cute Booth and Brennan and Hodgins and Angela moments? Oh, and we must not forget about Cam and her new man. I mean, even Clark got in on the action! So, for the lowdown on each couple‘s Valentine‘s Day and as always a recap of the case, read on, my friends! Read more »
After Hannah rejected his marriage proposal, Booth practically hit rock bottom as he asked the question, "What is it with women who don‘t want what I‘m offering?" and drowned his sorrows with alcohol. Though Booth appeared to be doing just fine in "The Bikini in the Soup," much thanks to Brennan‘s support, we all know that he‘s still hurting deep inside and that it will take some time (and several more episodes) for him get back to his old self and move on -- hopefully into the arms of Brennan. In the meantime, we asked our readers and Facebook fans what post-breakup advice they could give to Booth and here are some of the responses: Read more »

Bones finally returns tonight with an all-new episode entitled "The Killer in the Crosshairs." Before that, however, we had to endure three long weeks without our favorite crime-fighting duo. Since the beginning of Bones, the show has showcased a diverse group of criminals -- from bad cops and sexual predators to your average serial killer. However, the ones that stand out the most are those who go on a killing spree just like Howards Epps and Gormogon, not to mention those who can be compared with other Bones characters like The Gravedigger (the anti-Brennan) and Broadsky (the anti-Booth). Right now we‘re still in the middle of the Broadsky sniper arc, but it‘s never too early to think of the next big baddie. Here‘s what our readers and Facebook followers came up with: Read more »
Fabulously directed by the oh-so-talented David Boreanaz, last night‘s episode of Bones, "The Blackout in the Blizzard" featured Booth and Brennan stuck together in an elevator as well as a nerve-wracking situation for Angela and Hodgins concerning the health of their baby. As always, for those of you who didn‘t catch the episode, I encourage you to do so before reading this, but for everyone who did, let‘s get recapping.  Read more »

Gruesome crime scenes and "will they, won‘t they" plots aren‘t the only things that fans look forward to on Bones. As we‘ve discovered throughout the show‘s six-season run, colorful costumes and funny scenarios also make up for interesting episodes, just like "The Woman in the Sand" and "Double Trouble in the Panhandle." And since it‘s been some time since we last saw Brennan and Booth go undercover, we asked our readers and Facebook followers for suggestions on what their next covert mission should be. Bones kicked off its sniper story arc with a bang as it claimed the life of gravedigger Heather Taffet. While her death was shocking, her departure wasn‘t upsetting, since she certainly got what she deserved. Unfortunately, Heather isn‘t Broadsky the Sniper‘s last victim. As we all know, Broadsky has already claimed yet another victim in "The Killer in the Crosshairs" and it looks like he‘s more determined than ever before to take out more criminals that have escaped the justice system.Warning: The rest of this article contains spoilers and speculations about the sniper‘s next victim. Read more »

Welcome back, Bones fans! After yet another painfully long absence, Bones returned last night with an all-new episode, "The Feet on the Beach," in which Booth and Brennan are called to investigate an apparent murder after several pairs of feet wash up along the U.S. and Canada border. As always, the incredibly talented crew at Bones who create the bodies is to be commended for the excellent and very realistic job they do week in and week out, but I think that this episode really takes the cake. I mean, did you see all of those decomposing bodies at the body farm? So gross! But now, let‘s not waste any more time. I‘m sure you‘re all anxious to share your thoughts on this episode and the return of our beloved show, so for those of you who caught the episode last night, let‘s get recapping! Read more »
The announcement of Emily Deschanel‘s pregnancy has certainly become a subject of discussion amongst Bones fans, who have been pondering how it will affect the the forensic drama series. At this point, it‘s safe to assume that the lead star‘s pregnancy won‘t affect the remaining episodes of season 6, so there‘s no need to worry. But since there is no word on the baby‘s arrival, it may affect season 7, which looks very promising, even though the it hasn‘t been picked up by FOX yet. So the question remains ... should art imitate life on Bones? Here‘s what our readers and Facebook followers have to say about the issue: Read more »
Hey, Bones fans! On last night‘s all-new episode, "The Truth in the Myth," Booth and Brennan investigate the murder of a mythbuster television show host. The ironic part? Well, he was seemingly killed by the very creature he was supposed to be debunking: the legendary Chupacabra. After a big increase last week for FOX viewers, ratings normalized last night for shows like American Idol and Bones. Idol saw a slight drop, while Bones remained steady. We also saw slight drops across the board.Idol‘s results show last night, in which the Halford-like rocker James Durbin was dealt the voter axe, dipped just slightly in viewers over last week, with 23.58 million viewers tuning in.
