Articles for Big Brother 16 Season 14

Oh, Big Brother, how I‘ve missed you. It‘s just not summer without this voyeuristic obsession, and after witnessing the God-awful ABC rip-off The Glass House, it‘s good to have the original back.  Read more »
After Big Brother 14 premiered Thursday night, the online feeds went live and viewers got their first look at the scheming and plotting inside the house. It also revealed some of what has happened in terms of ceremonies and competitions.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
Big Brother has always resembled a chess game, but this season the board turned three-dimensional. The addition of four returning players as coaches for Big Brother 14 adds a new dynamic to the game.  Read more »
The game is afoot on Big Brother 14. The premiere saw Team Britney win the first competition with Willie Hantz being named the first Head of Household. And already the house has had its first nomination ceremony and now the first Power of Veto competition.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
Were still four days away from the first live eviction of Big Brother 14, and already the week seems to be over. But four days is an eternity in the house and anything can happen, though at this point that seems unlikely.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
My worst fears of Big Brother 14 have come true. While part of me likes the twist of having returning players serve as in-house coaches to the newbies, the problem is that they take up all the screen time and hog all the attention, thus making the newbies seem totally forgettable, like minor characters. It‘s what happened last year when Rachel and Daniele‘s drama ruled the game.  Read more »
Following the inner workings of Big Brother 14 is already maddening. The person targeted for eviction is changing every few hours, but even more confusing than that is the wild speculation about what other twists are in store for the season. The four coaches are playing their own game, but will they get a chance to play the actual game as well?SPOILER WARNING: This article contains information from the live feeds not show on TV.  Read more »
The coaches are still running the game on Big Brother 14. Britney and Janelle (aka Blonde Ambition) are in power and they‘ve turned Boogie and Dan against one another. None of this SHOULD affect the newbies, who are allegedly playing their own, individual game, but they all seem to be blindly doing whatever their coaches tell them to do.  Read more »
It‘s nearly the end of Willie‘s reign as Head of Household on the first week of Big Brother 14, and it has certainly been a chaotic one. There were multiple alliances, a huge blow-up and a constantly shifting target.  Read more »
Naming an alliance on Big Brother is a tricky thing. Sometimes you strike gold (Chilltown, the Brigade) and other times you wind up with something that sounds like a cult (season 6‘s The Friendship, disparagingly known as the Nerd Herd).Well, Big Brother 14 has a new alliance that certainly lacks creativity in its name, but it may not matter because I don‘t imagine it will last that long.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains information from the Big Brother 14 live feeds.  Read more »
If you‘re a fan of Big Brother 14, you‘ve probably been eagerly awaiting the first huge fight of the season. And I‘m happy to report it arrived Tuesday night. After a day full of drama following a huge house meeting, HoH Willie‘s fuse was ignited and there was a massive blow-up filled with some of the greatest curse quotes since Samuel L. Jackson had it with those mother f***ing snakes on hat mother f***ing plane.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains spoilers from the Big Brother 14 live feeds.  Read more »
Just because you‘re paranoid doesn‘t mean they‘re not out to get you. That should be the motto of Big Brother, because paranoia is the name of the game. All week long HoH Willie has gone back and forth on who to evict this week, and in the last 24 hours that has changed several times, as have his many alliances and his relationship with his coach, Britney.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains information from the Big Brother 14 live feeds.  Read more »
It‘s been a chaotic week in the Big Brother 14 house, and it‘s all been leading to this. Kara and Frank are on the block and the house has flip-flopped all week on who to evict. Tonight we‘ll see the total crap-storm that occurred this week thanks to Willie‘s paranoia, the first eviction and a new HoH competition.  Read more »
Julie Chen threw a monkey wrench into the proceedings on Thursday‘s live eviction episode of Big Brother 14, announcing that the winner of the second Coaches Competition could keep one of their nominees safe, or they could trade a player. After countless speculation about who would or wouldn‘t be traded, the competition was held on Friday.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
The first week of Big Brother 14 was a chaotic one with ups and downs as he house changed its mind about who was being evicted 30 times. But now that a lot of the drama and paranoia is gone, things have settled down and week 2 is set to be quite boring and predictable. Going into the PoV competition, there was only one possible option that would cause a bit of uncertainty. And luckily it happened.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
It was a drama filled day in the Big Brother 14 house. With Frank as the HoH we knew Britney‘s team was screwed, but not THIS screwed.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
The Hantzes are one of the most notorious families in reality TV. Russell was one of the biggest villains on Survivor and his nephew Brandon was a creepy oddball when he competed. But nobody could‘ve predicted that Big Brother 14‘s Willie Hantz would be the worst of the bunch.  Read more »
Now that Willie has been expelled from Big Brother 14, Britney‘s team is in dire straits. Since Boogie and Janelle‘s teams are aligned, it‘s obvious that Shane and JoJo will be nominated and if one of them wins the Power of Veto, Danielle will go up as the replacement nominee. And that‘s EXACTLY what happens. I told you this was a predictable week. And it‘s definitely unfair too, because this week is entirely punitive against Willie, no matter how hard Frank tries to blame the real victims.  Read more »
This week on Big Brother 14 Frank Eudy went from nearly getting evicted to the Head of Household. As his reign ends he‘s posted his HoH blog at CBS, providing insight into him as a player and a person.  Read more »
Inside the Big Brother 14 house, Frank Eudy is running the show as the current Head of Household. But outside of the show, it‘s his dad who is kicking some butt. Eudy‘s father is professional wrestler Sycho Sid (aka Sid Vicious), who recently made his return to the WWE after a long absence in honor of the show‘s 1,000th episode.  Read more »
When the cast of Big Brother 14 was first announced, I wrote that I hated Ashley "with the fiery passion of 1,000 suns." She seemed like a total airhead, claiming she would win the game with her "super love energy." So color me shocked that, after watching Big Brother After Dark Monday night, Ashley has become one of my favorite HGs so far.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains details from the Big Brother 14 live feeds.  Read more »
In the Big Brother house, everyone loves to talk about how much they hate floaters. Whether they‘re being told to grab a life vest or making it to the end, being a floater seems to be the Big Brother equivalent of being a Nazi.  Read more »
The Power of Veto ceremony on Big Brother is usually a predictable affair. If one of the nominees won it, they will save themselves. If not, it probably won‘t get used. This week is more predictable than usual.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
It seems no matter where he goes, former Big Brother 14 houseguest Willie Hantz gets in trouble. Less than a week ago he was expelled from the game for attacking another houseguest, which was just the fourth time the show has had to kick someone out of the house. And now, according to TMZ, Willie has been arrested in Louisiana for driving under the influence.  Read more »
After last Friday‘s huge blow-up in which Willie Hantz was expelled from Big Brother 14, this week has been quite predictable. The other two members of Willie‘s team were nominated, Shane won the Power of Veto (again) and the utterly useless Danielle was put up as a pawn (which I‘m guessing will be the first of many, many times she‘ll be used for such a purpose).  Read more »
It‘s always interesting to see what happens when the power shifts on Big Brother 14. Last week was mildly interesting since Frank went from being nominated to being HoH, but since he‘d already formed a super alliance between Boogie and Janelle‘s teams, he was already in power. But this week, Shane went from being the number one target for nearly everyone left in the house to sitting pretty in the HoH room. And Thursday night‘s Big Brother After Dark was full of exciting twists and shifting alliances.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains details from the Big Brother 14 live feeds.  Read more »
On Thursday‘s episode of Big Brother 14, Julie Chen revealed the latest twist. America will get to vote on whether the four coaches will be given the opportunity to enter the game as players.  Read more »
There are a lot of variables going on inside the Big Brother 14 house. There are the teams, the Coaches Competition, the Power of Veto and countless other minefields to step on. Sadly for Shane, I‘m not sure he‘s mentally equipped to handle such pressure, and I don‘t have much faith that Britney is a skilled enough player to offer much guidance. Still, I doubt they can screw things up too badly.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers. Read more »
With news that the coaches may enter the game as players next week on Big Brother 14, this may be the final Coaches Competition of the season. Thus far Boogie has dominated the game, though technically Janelle won last week (but only because Britney and Boogie were DQed and Dan was trying to lose). So which coach has the power this week and who‘s safe?SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
Shane won the first Power of Veto competition on Big Brother 14. Then he won the second one. Is it finally time for someone else to win, or did Shane continue his one-man domination of this game?SPOILER WARNING: Thie article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
Saturday was the first day of the 2012 London Olympics, but it was also the start of some wildly insane times inside the Big Brother 14 house as Wil celebrated his birthday. The night involved skimpy costumes, streaking by two guys, body shots and a salacious game of Spin the Bottle which resulted in Ashley kissing three different men, all from the same team. It‘s the kind of fun-filled night that makes watching Big Brother After Dark totally worth it.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains details from the Big Brother 14 live feeds.  Read more »
Houseguests on Big Brother love talking about competition wins. Everyone knows Janelle Pierzina is the Comp Queen and this season Shane Meaney has dominated the game.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
Shane‘s tenure as Head of Household on Big Brother 14 has been quite unpredictable. He went back and forth on the nominations and even his coach didn‘t know what was going to happen until the keys were pulled out of the box. So is the Power of Veto ceremony equally unpredictable? Absolutely.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
Big Brother 14 fans know that this Thursday there is a good chance that the four coaches will be given the option of entering the game as players. But inside the house, this is still a mystery. Or is it?SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
Inside the Big Brother 14 house, the coaches are all making big plans for next week. And those plans seem to involve playing the game.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains details from the Big Brother 14 live feeds.  Read more »
The outgoing HoH on Big Brother 14 gets to write a blog, a quick journal entry where they can vent about the house and their place in the game. Each HoH blog typically represents their personality. Willie‘s was short and full of errors. Frank‘s was shiny and happy. And now comes Shane, and his blog may as well have been written by Captain Obvious. He‘s not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he‘s clearly a good guy who loves his family, the troops and his home state of Vermont.  Read more »
Shane Meaney, the current Big Brother 14 HoH, is a house flipper. Literally, that‘s his profession in the real world. So it‘s only fitting that he completely flips the house this week in an episode full of everything I HATE.  Read more »
There‘s a whole lot of filler in this week‘s Sunday episode of Big Brother 14, but at the center is Shane, the current HoH. He and Britney get to have all the power, but it‘s clear Britney doesn‘t really have the power. She can advise, but Shane makes up his own decisions and makes his own deals that she is not a part of. The result is a fascinating game where Shane refuses to us blindly do everything his coach tells him to do, unlike everyone else in the house.  Read more »
From the very beginning of Big Brother 14, there was speculation about whether the coaches would eventually enter the game as players. It wasn‘t really speculation so much as certainty since last year proved that the producers love screwing over newbies and manipulating the game so that veterans can win. If I sound bitter, it‘s because I am, and I hope the newbies are too. The last thing I want to see is another season full of Adam Pochs who are too scared to do anything and just let a veteran win.  Read more »
Big Brother 14 sent the entire game into a tailspin with Thursday night‘s "reset" where all four coaches entered the game as players and there was no eviction, meaning we‘re right back to where we were day one with 12 players. After the more than three hour endurance competition, everyone was left scrambling to figure out what the reset means.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
It‘s finally here, the first endurance competition of Big Brother 14. Everyone loves these because it shows just how bad you want it. HG will hang onto things and suffer punishment for hours just for the chance to win.  Read more »
The "Reset the Game" twist on Big Brother 14 was certainly a major shake-up. All four coaches were dropped into the game, there was no eviction and now here we are in week 4 with 12 players still in the game. Usually at this point we‘re down to 10 and about to head into the jury, but this season just got a whole lot longer.  Read more »
The game has reset on Big Brother 14. Well, sort of. While the spirit of the twist may be that everything is starting over and there are no more "coaches" and "teams," that‘s not entirely true. It‘s hard to break old habits, and after a nearly three-and-a-half hour endurance HoH competition, it‘s time for the first nominations of season 14, 2.0.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
Shane Meany has won the first three Power of Veto competitions of Big Brother 14. In the history of the series, no player has ever won four in a row. Did Shane break the record? And will the winner use the Power of Veto?SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
Saturday nights are wild on Big Brother 14. One week ago was Wil‘s birthday bash, complete with multiple make-out sessions and nudity. And this week there was madness of a different type as a new plan was hatched and not one but TWO new super alliance may have been started.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
The Big Brother 14 game has been reset and the coaches have entered the game as players. At least that‘s the alleged twist. But in reality, several players have become so devoted to their coaches that those relationship dynamics still exist. Dan might just be another player, but he‘s still Danielle‘s coach and she still treats him that way. That‘s great for him, but terrible for her and the newbies.  Read more »
The moment Big Brother 14 fans have been waiting for finally arrived late Sunday night. The four former coaches finally came together to discuss their future following the reset twist, and it was very open and honest, in the best way possible. But that was only the start of the insanity. And Boogie said four little words that changed the entire course of the season.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
One week ago Shane made a huge move on Big Brother 14 when he used the Power of Veto on one of his own nominees to backdoor Frank. That didn‘t end so well since the nominations were voided by the reset twist, but now there‘s an even bigger move.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »

The drama is heating up on Big Brother 14. This Wednesday episode is jam-packed with scheming, alliance-building, backdooring and silly costumes. Yes, the unitard is back, and there‘s also a dog costume. The game is just beginning for most of the HGs, but for Janelle, Florence and the Machine said it best: The dogs days are over. The dog days are done. The Silent Six are coming, so you better run.  Read more »
For the second week in a row, the HoH won the Power of Veto on Big Brother 14 and then completely changed their minds to backdoor a huge threat. This week Danielle decided to put up Janelle after forming two separate alliances: the Quack Pack and the Silent Six. Tonight, if things go according to plan, Frank could survive his third eviction vote while Janelle could get blindsided.  Read more »
One of the greatest players never to win the game was evicted in 12th place on Big Brother 14. Comp Queen Janelle Pierzina, who finished third in seasons 6 and 7, was sent home in a vote of 8-1, and while some fans (and even some HGs) are regretting the decision, I think it was the right move.  Read more »
For the first time all season on Big Brother 14, there‘s an actual competition to decide who the Have-Nots for the week are. And also for the first time, the former coaches are eligible. So who‘s on Slop for the week and what food did America choose for them?SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
For the second time in Big Brother 14, Frank is the HoH. Things were easy for him the last time because Boogie and Janelle‘s teams were united, leaving Shane, JoJo and Danielle as the only targets. What did he do this time?SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
For the past three weeks, the Power of Veto has been used to cause some major damage on Big Brother 14. Last week Janelle was backdoored, and the week before that, Frank was backdoored with the intention of evicting him. Did the trend continue this week?SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
This week on Big Brother 14 the intense drama has died down and live feed viewers have been left with just watching this season‘s HGs hang out. And it‘s been very, very boring. Read more »
It‘s a good thing that this Sunday‘s episode of Big Brother 14 is on against the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, because it‘s so boring that fans who skip it aren‘t going to miss much. Frank is the HoH, Joe is on the outs with everyone and Wil is generally untrustworthy. Throw in a whole lot filler with lemon squeezing and sex dreams and you have a pretty pointless episode of Big Brother 14.  Read more »
Big Brother 14 brought back four of the most memorable players of all-time to serve as coaches and then players this season. But now, for the fifth Power of Veto competition, another Big Brother star more famous and beloved than all four of them combined came back.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
Contestants on a reality TV show can hook up for one of two reasons. Either they are genuinely attracted to each other or they are shrewdly doing it to benefit their game. Big Brother 14 has seen several fauxmances, like the awkward, chaste Shane and Danielle kisses or the Big Bang Theory-esque Ian and Ashley. But now there‘s an actual showmance full of legitimate making out.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
If you‘re a U.S. fan of the reality series Big Brother, you‘ve probably wondered what a celebrity version would look like. Well, that‘s a common occurrence in the U.K. and today marked the start of the 10th edition of Celebrity Big Brother in England. Read more »

Spending as much time as I do watching the Big Brother 14 houseguests, I develop very strong feelings about them. And Frank, in particular, has had a lot of time in the spotlight. Every week he‘s either been HoH or nominated, and this week he offers us his second HoH blog.  Read more »
The long national nightmare that was the past week of Big Brother 14 is officially over. As soon as Frank won the HoH last week, we knew Joe and Wil would be nominated. Within one day the target changed from Joe to Wil, and then everything else played out exactly as expected. The live feeds have been so boring that the show has resorted to bringing back fan favorites like the Zingbot and Jeff Schroeder to drum up any kind of excitement about this season.  Read more »
Sometimes Big Brother competitions follow a pattern. Just look at season 12. There was the surfboard endurance HoH competition in week 3, the knockout competition for week 4, then the paint can endurance for week 5.  Read more »
In one of the Big Brother 14 rooms, there is a crane game. It‘s been decorative all season, just like the fortune teller last year, and it hasn‘t had anything to do with the game so far. But now all that is about to change.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
If you don‘t follow the live feeds, then you don‘t know who won this week‘s Head of Household competition on Big Brother 14. Oh, who am I kidding? Every time the show does one of these physical strength/endurance competitions, we all know who will win.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »

For the past three weeks, the HoH of Big Brother 14 has also won the Power of Veto. This week there was a slight change that created plenty of tension and campaigning in the house over the weekend. Things got very, very heated in the Big Brother 14 house Tuesday night as lies were exposed, tears were shed and a decision was made about who‘s going home this week.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »
I think Ashley may have edited tonight‘s episode of Big Brother 14, because none of it makes any sense. The first half flows naturally with a big blame game over the nominations and a candy-themed Power of Veto competition where Ashley says things so monumentally stupid that she makes Jordan Lloyd look like a rocket scientist.  Read more »
It‘s the second reign of Shane on Big Brother 14 and once again he‘s making big moves. Shane nominated Frank and Boogie, destroying the Silent 6 for good. In this week‘s HoH blog, Shane talks about his allegiance to the Quack Pack, the promise of future drama and he compares his "showmance" partner Danielle to a dog.  Read more »
Sometimes I think Ashley Iocco, the 26-year-old spray tanner on Big Brother 14, has to be an actress, because there‘s no way a human being can be as monumentally stupid as she is. But this week during the Power of Veto competition, she reached new levels of idiocy.  Read more »

Frank Eudy, the 28-year-old unemployed son of a professional wrestler, is turning out to be one of the most polarizing figures in Big Brother history. For some people, his competition supremacy and laidback charm make him the ideal combination of past favorites Janelle and Jeff. For others, his hypocrisy and bullying are more reminiscent of Brendon and Rachel.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »

Something wicked this way comes on Big Brother 14 as Pandora‘s Box makes its first appearance. For those who aren‘t familiar, Pandora‘s Box is a door that the HoH is offered. If it‘s opened something good will happen and something bad will happen. Sometimes the HoH gets money or a special power while the rest of the house gets punished. Other times the HoH is locked in a room while the other HGs win something nice.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.  Read more »

During the double eviction on Big Brother 14, everyone was against Frank as his two closest allies were evicted. Now he‘s all alone and NEEDS to win in order to stay safe. So, naturally, he does. I‘m not saying the game is fixed, but if it were, this is exactly how it would play out.  Read more »

It‘s been a very crazy last seven days in the Big Brother 14 house. First Boogie and Ashley were sent home in a double eviction, then Frank won HoH and targeted his arch-nemesis Dan, then Dan flipped the house on its head with his "Big Brother Funeral" and successfully exposed the Quack Pack to turn Frank against Ian. It was a move that, in my mind, made Dan the best player in the history of the game, but I‘ll let you be the judge of that.  Read more »
Last week on Big Brother 14, Dan told Danielle that she was dead to him in front of everyone.
