Unless you've been under the rock for the past three months, you've probably heard of 90210, the new Beverly Hills 90210 spin-off that's been picked up by The CW. In line with the official order, the network has also released the first cast photo, which includes Dustin Milligan, AnnaLynne McCord, Jessica Walter, Shenae Grimes, Tristan Wilds, Lori Loughlin, Ryan Eggold, Jessica Stroup and Michael Steger. While these names may have a lot to offer, the network is hoping to entice more of the show's original fans by booking Jennie Garth, who returns in a recurring role as her original character Kelly Taylor, now working as a guidance counselor, and Tori Spelling, who is currently negotiating for a possible return as well.
Noticeably, however, 90210 is still lacking of one more actor: the show's patriarch. Since the series is all about The Mills family, in the same way Beverly Hills 90210 focused on the Walsh family, filling the role of father Harry Mills is crucial. Unfortunately, producers are having difficulty eyeing someone they actually like.

The CW announced its fall schedule today and it features all good-looking people. I suppose one could make the argument that all television features good-looking people, but not to the extreme extent that the CW has taken it. You see, most of the CW's Fall schedule not only features good-looking people, the series themselves are about those people being good-looking, or at least it's a very important part of the series. There are three hours of new programming on the CW's Fall schedule, one of which may include the most highly-anticipated new series going into next season.
Before any Reaper fans go ballistic and worry about why the series isn't on the Fall schedule, don't worry. The CW has ordered 13 episodes of Reaper, which will hit the air at mid-season. There's a very good chance that it will take over Smallville's time slot at some point, but nothing is set in stone.

Recently, reports about a spin-off for the 1990's most popular teen soap, Beverly Hills 90210 circulated. Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas was hired to write the pilot for the spin-off, which would hopefully be picked up by one of the major networks. In fact, as the pilot is currently in the works, casting rumors and announcements have circulated, bringing into discussion names such as Tristan Wilds, Michael Steger and teenybopper Hilary Duff. One thing's for sure though, The Wire actor is certainly taking the lead on the newest remake of all time.

When I think of Beverly Hills 90210, I tend to picture mullets, sideburns, "Donna Martin Graduates," and 45-year-olds playing high schoolers. One thing I most definitely do not think of is the late, great teen noir show Veronica Mars. However, the executives at the CW must find the two shows similar, because they've recently hired Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas to help develop a brand new 90210 spin-off. Thomas will write the pilot episode of the series, which will have only a tenuous connection to the original teen soap. Now that more details have come out about the CW's update of the drama, it's starting to feel like 1992 all over again.

Jason Priestley catapulted into stardom when he was cast as Brandon Walsh on Beverly Hills 90210. He played the twin-brother of Brenda (Shannen Doherty) who was a consistent protagonist of the drama series. Although generally perceived as an ethical character, he gained notoriety for having various relationships with women, including Emily Valentine (Christine Elise), Nikki Witt (Dana Barron), Lucinda Nicholson (Dina Meyer), Susan Keats (Emma Caulfield), Tracy Gaylian (Jill Novick) and Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth), whom he almost married. Priestley stopped acting on the show at the beginning of season 9 but remained as an executive producer through the end of the series. This year, the 37-year-old actor will be featured in a string of projects, including a pilot, a miniseries and a TV movie.

Luke Perry was best known for his role on Beverly Hills 90210. As Dylan Michael McKay, he was considered the quintessential bad boy of the series, noted for being a surfing school rebel, a recovering alcoholic and a drug addict. He was romantically involved with Brenda Walsh (Shannen Doherty), Valerie Malone (Tiffani-Amber Thiessen), Gina Kincaid (Vanessa Marcil), Antonia Marchette (Rebecca Gayheart) and Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth), whom he pursued repeatedly throughout the series. In the coming months, the 40-year-old actor will be marking his comeback with a new family drama movie.

Former Beverly Hills 90210 actress, Tori Spelling, proudly announced last week that she has been ordained as a minister. Her ordination took place online, after which she received her official certificate in the mail.
'Yep, that's right. ... Reverend Tori Spelling!... I’m so proud!” Spelling said on the Myspace site that she shares with husband, Dean McDermott.

As Clare Arnold on Beverly Hills 90210, Kathleen Robertson became a household name. Although she penetrated the show through the middle season, she was notorious for playing a rich, wild yet highly intellectual senior in high school. Interestingly, she was able to tame her unruliness and turned into a beautiful, confident and mature woman towards the end. She aggressively pursued Brandon and was romantically involved with David but was distinctly famous for being the first girl to nail Steve’s feet to the ground. At present she remains to be seen on her regular television show and upcoming movie.
