Better Half is a reality television competition series from Bravo. Hosted by American stand-up comedienne Susan Essman, who’s well-known for appearing on the HBO comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm, it features the spouses and mates of trained experts who will try to teach their partners about their areas of expertise. Among the professional occupations these pairs will learn from each other and take on together are standup comedy, chefs and cuisine, hairdressing, and planning parties. The trained professionals have two days to teach and coach their amateur partners into learning their respective jobs, before they compete against other pairings and “better halves.”
