The 35th annual Daytime Emmy Awards are scheduled to air tonight at 8pm on ABC. Daytime regulars Cameron Mathison (All My Children) and Sherri Shepherd (The View) will act as master and mistress of ceremonies.
Mathison will be wearing a tuxedo by Arnold Brant, and Shepherd will sport gowns by Badgley Mishka and Angela Dean and jewelry by Chopard.
The list of nominations was announced on Wednesday, April 30 with CBS, in particular The Young and the Restless, nabbed the most noms: 56 and 17, respectively.

Previously on As the World Turns, Luke (Van Hansis) and Noah (Jake Silbermann) had a terrible fight and though Noah tried to patch things up with him, he retreated as he saw Luke with a man who is obviously interested in him. Holden (Jon Hensley) and Carly (Maura West) ended up kissing and sharing yet another fraught moment when he applied ice to her when she burned her hand on the car engine. Upon returning home, Holden remained troubled by thoughts of Carly, while Carly found herself rattled by photos of Holden.

This morning on The View, the hosts announced the nominees for the 35th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. Stars from All My Children, Days of our Lives, One Life To Live, Guiding Light, and As the World Turns were on hand to present the nominations. Noticeably missing from the morning's festivities were cast members from General Hospital, who were overlooked in several of the acting categories. The View scored a nomination for Outstanding Talk Show Hosts, among others. The Daytime Emmy Awards will air June 20th on ABC at 8pm ET from Hollywood's Kodak Theater. At the ceremony, Regis Philbin will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

CBS will be launching a special fan club luncheon to give supporters of As the World Turns a chance to meet and greet their favorite actors. The much awaited event will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 12pm to 4pm at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. Tickets will cost $130 for non-fan club members and $115 for current As the World Turns fan club members.
Those who are interested will have to give out a $20 nonrefundable deposit per person, which will insure a seat. The final payment is due no later than March 1.
Any tickets purchased afterwards must be paid in full by money orders only.

Thanks to fans' incessant efforts, Henry Coleman won't be leaving Oakdale anytime soon. Following speculations surrounding the departure of Trent Dawson on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns, some last minute negotiations took place, putting a resolution to the 37-year-old actor's contract issues.
"Thank you guys for the campaigning! Contract issues were resolved and Hank is sticking around. In fact he's very busy right now. Consider your mission accomplished, and my thanks eternal," Dawson wrote to his fans online.

Following the departure of Grayson McCouch as Dusty Donavan on As the World Turns, another soap vet is expected to leave Oakdale and he comes in the form of Scott Bryce.
Best known for originally playing Craig Montgomery, Bryce joined the cast of As the World Turns in 1982 and continued portraying the role until 1987. He made several short-term returns over the years until he officially left the long-running soap in 1994. Hunter Block assumed the role in 2000 until 2005, before Jeffrey Meek took over the character in 2006. Bryce came back in 2007, but is now slated to leave the show less than a year after being rehired.

Last week on As the World Turns, Dusty (Grayson McCouch) was met by a man who is trying to analyze what was in Dr. Bob's (Don Hastings) coffee cup that caused him to collapse. Dusty soon learned that that there's definitely a foreign substance in the coffee and was suggested to get the medical records from Bob's admission to the hospital when they ran toxicology tests. But when Emily (Kelley Menighan Hensley) overheard Dusty's conversation with the man, she demanded to know what he was up to and Dusty was forced to talk about his suspicions on Chris. While Emily tried talking to Dusty into leaving Chris (Dylan Bruce) alone, Chris walked up and even encouraged Dusty to take up his suspicions to the police.
