Much like an America's Next Top Model contestant, I started out this cycle with some level of enthusiasm for this group of modelettes. They seemed, collectively, kind of modely!
But much as Tyra Banks breaks down the modelettes to “build them back up again,” I'm feeling a little deflated as we enter the midpoint of this cycle. I mean, I wasn't necessarily a Lauren Brie fan, per se, but to send her home after a couple of ho-hum shots, after she'd delivered some of the best Tyra had seen? Well, we can't say she didn't warn us: we think we know America's Next Top Model, but we don't know.
Oh well, one thing I do know is what I thought about the photographs from this episode.

On tonight’s episode of America’s Next Top Model, it’s time for the girls to find out what their signature poses are. They meet with Tyra Banks, who coaches each of them through 20 frames. For the first 10, they’re allowed to just experiment with poses on their own with minimal input from Tyra. Then, the girls are allowed to go to the monitor and see what they had been doing. The last 10 frames were seriously coached by Tyra and in the end, Marjorie won the photo challenge for her signature look, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. No, really!

Today on the Tyra Banks Show, a new show within a show was introduced, called Modelville. Tyra is taking 5 former Top Model contestants and giving them a second chance to make it big in the fashion world. The lucky models chosen are: Fatima Siad (Cycle 10), Dominque Reighard (Cycle 10), Lauren Utter (Cycle 10), Renee Alway (Cycle 8), and Bianca Golden (Cycle 9). Tyra brought the 5 women on her show today to get updates on their lives since being on the show. Fatima admitted that she has a hard time making ends meet, sometimes not even knowing where her next meal is coming from. Dominique revealed that when she returned home from the show, she found out that her boyfriend had gotten another woman pregnant. Each woman had a story that perhaps held her back from reaching her full potential but Tyra was about to deliver some amazing news to them that could forever change their lives (again).

The pressure is always on for the ladies of America's Next Top Model but tonight, one of them is pushed past her breaking point. In the promo, it looked like Mr. Jay wasn't happy with just about everyone's performance in the photo shoot, telling them that they're not good enough and they need to step it up. Something must happen that's more dramatic than that, since he's always critiquing and telling the girls like it is. At this point in the competition, with the international destination looming, there isn't a model who feels safe and anybody could go home. I'll be here for the entire hour, covering every tear that falls and every frame that is shot. Keep refreshing and post your thoughts, too!

Last week's elimination of Clark from Cycle 11 of America's Next Top Model wasn't really too much of a surprise. What was a little less expected was Joslyn tumbling all the way to the bottom two, and turning in a photograph that showed little of the glamorous promise she displayed earlier in the season.
Can Joslyn pull herself together and deliver the fierceness this week? If so, which other girls could be trending down to that bottom spot?

Each week on the 11th cycle of America’s Next Top Model, the show has been updating fans on past contestants in a short segment that airs during the commercial breaks. The segment, called “Top Models In Action”, had already let viewers know how Toccara, Shannon, Lisa, Eugena, and Chantal are doing since appearing on the show. Though the former contestants have appeared in various magazines and runway shows, it’s hardly the life of a supermodel. It seems every model struggles once her CW stint ends, which is why Tyra is unveiling a new reality show that answers the question: What happens to the contestants once America’s Next Top Model is over?

Love her or hate her, you never had to wonder what America's Next Top Model cycle 11 contestant Clark was thinking this season. This outspoken model refused to play the friend card, keeping her focus just on the competition. She didn't help others with their poses or runway walks. Clark just worried about herself. She was one of the biggest protesters when it came to Isis joining the competition for cycle 11. She was eliminated on last night's episode after Tyra saw a dramatic drop in her performance from one week to the next. Feeling that she was incapable of being consistent, she was sent home. Today, she spoke to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview and didn't hold back when it came time to speak her mind!
Below, you will find the complete transcript and mp3 of the interview.

This week on America's Next Top Model, the photo shoot had the girls acting out natural disasters…and a couple unnatural disasters, like a black out and a car crash. I guess a show run by a woman known for her weave can't be expected to really have a solid grasp on what is natural or not.
Which girls wrecked it in a good way and which just did some damage to their chances on America's Next Top Model? And this week, there are a whole pack of girls sitting in the almost-but-not-quite category.
