Whitney Thompson has made Top Model history. She is the first full figured winner in the show's history. Despite landing in the bottom two several times, she picked herself up when she fell and continued on in the competition. Her strong runway walk, confident commercials, and beautiful pictures carried her all the way to the finale, where she prevailed over Anya Kop. Today, Whitney took time out of her busy schedule to talk to BuddyTV about her win, how she plans on surviving in the modeling world, and how she really feels about her fellow contestants.
Below, you will find the complete mp3 and transcript of the interview.

On last night's season finale of ANTM, Whitney Thompson became the show's first full figured winner. She was determined, from the beginning, to remain true to herself and make it all the way to the end. She accomplished her goal and beat out Anya Kop for the title of America's Next Top Model. This satisfying but surprising finale was a great way to cap off a dramatic and unpredictable season. Cycle 10 gave us tons of unforgettable models and moments. What better way to celebrate these talented ladies then by handing out superlatives and giving them special recognition for their contributions to cycle 10?

Last night, Cycle 10 of America's Next Top Model came to a close, and with it, we have our first plus-size modelette as a winner, Whitney Thompson. Of course, plus-size, as many readers have pointed out, is relative, since she's not actually a true plus-size in the real world. But it's still something that many viewers take encouragement from, and that's definitely something good to come from the show.
And beyond the meaning of a plus-size win, Whitney has also brought to her time on the show the kind of All-American outgoing personality that fits well with the Cover Girl style.
That said, though, from a pure photography standpoint, she hasn't necessarily always delivered in the photo shoots. Did she finally make it into the Best category at the last minute?

On tonight’s season finale of America’s Next Top Model, the remaining three girls met up with Jay Manuel to film a television commercial for Cover Girl as well as shoot a print ad. The winner of this cycle will have her ad on a billboard in Times Square. Anya began to crack under the pressure, crying in her makeup chair, worried that she wouldn’t perform well enough to get to the finale. Each girl struggled in the television commercial, despite the fact that they were given their scripts the night before. Fatima sounded robotic while Whitney and Anya had a hard time remembering what to say.

Tonight's finale of America's Next Top Model is semi up in the air. We all know Whitney isn't going to win, though it's impressive for a plus size model to have made it as far as she did. The internet is abuzz with rumors that either Fatima or Anya will walk away with the win. The BuddyTV readers have gotten behind Anya, with 51% feeling that she'll emerge victorious. The girls will shoot one last Cover Girl commercial as well as participate in one final catwalk before Tyra names the winner. I'll be here all hour updating live so keep refreshing and post your comments, too. It's time to find out who wins America's Next Top Model, cycle 10!

Whitney Thompson entered America's Next Top Model as this season's heaviest model. She told the judges, in her initial meeting with them, that she had curves and was proud of it. She was determined to make it to the finale without compromising who she was as a person. Though Whitney photographed well, the judges constantly wondered about her ability to be sincere and show who she really was as a person. She had her ups and downs throughout the season, but Whitney always prevailed, and made it all the way to the final two. She became the show's first full figured model to win the competition. Here's a look back at her photos throughout the season.

The CW announced its fall schedule today and it features all good-looking people. I suppose one could make the argument that all television features good-looking people, but not to the extreme extent that the CW has taken it. You see, most of the CW's Fall schedule not only features good-looking people, the series themselves are about those people being good-looking, or at least it's a very important part of the series. There are three hours of new programming on the CW's Fall schedule, one of which may include the most highly-anticipated new series going into next season.
Before any Reaper fans go ballistic and worry about why the series isn't on the Fall schedule, don't worry. The CW has ordered 13 episodes of Reaper, which will hit the air at mid-season. There's a very good chance that it will take over Smallville's time slot at some point, but nothing is set in stone.

Cycle Ten of America's Next Top Model comes to an end this week; on Wednesday night, we will finally know who the winner of the competition will be. We've worked our way through eleven other girls already, with one contestant who quit (Kimberly Rydzewski), one contestant who drank her own breast milk (Claire Unabia), one who talked about herself in the third person (Dominique) and one who many viewers thought should have made it to the final three, if not the top spot (Katarzyna Dolinska).
The three girls who have prevailed over those competitors are Anya, Fatima and Whitney. What are their strengths and weaknesses as we head into the finale of America's Next Top Model?
