American Dragon: Jake Long is about a boy named Jake, who is a descendant of a long line of shape-changing dragons, unbeknownst to his father. Jake is taught to use his magical powers by his grandfather and a 600-year-pld Shar Pei named Fu Dog to protect the community of magical creatures secretly living among the masses in New York.
