'All My Children' Spoilers

Last week on All My Children, Annie (Melissa Claire Egan) wore a wedding dress for what she thought was her wedding day and entered the fundraiser looking completely disheveled with her lipstick smeared all over her face.  The crowed looked horrified by the sight of Annie especially since she had a knife in her hand and blood on her dress.  Annie came up to Ryan (Cameron Mathison) and excitedly told him she was ready to get married and then started reciting her wedding vows.  Ryan asked her if she hurt anyone with the knife but she didn’t say anything. Meanwhile, Erica (Susan Lucci) was on the floor of the bathroom bleeding and unconscious.

All My Children: Getting to Know JR Martinez

JR Martinez recently stepped in Pine Valley as a solider who was assumed to have been killed during active duty in Iraq.  So far, his character Brot has been well-received by fans of All My Children, especially since Martinez is a real life war hero who can genuinely attest to the “life after war” theme.

The 25-year-old solider was severely burned when his Humvee hit a land mine in 2003.  Consequently, he spent 34 months in the hospital and underwent 32 different surgeries.

'Passions' Actress Heads to 'All My Children'

Residents of Pine Valley can expect the arrival of a new doctor in town as McKenzie Westmore joins the cast of All My Children.  The 31-year-old actress will be making her debut on the ABC soap in December as a psychiatrist who is expected to be involved in Annie's (Melissa Claire Egan) storyline, according to Soaps.com.

'All My Children' Continues to Honor Military Veterans

Iraq war veteran JR Martinez, who was cast in a recurring role on All My Children, was part of the inspiration for the current storyline that the soap opera is running.  Martinez plays Brot Monroe on the show, and is hoping to continue encouraging other veterans for their efforts. 

Recently on All My Children, Lt. Taylor Thompson (Beth Ehlers) has been grieving for the loss of her fiancée, Monroe.  She wrongly believes that he was killed in the line of duty, just like Martinez was in reality.  But the soldier, disfigured from the accident, was only letting the bride-to-be think he's dead. 

Iraq War Veteran Makes TV Debut on 'All My Children'

A couple of months ago, BuddyTV reported that All My Children has launched a nationwide search for an Iraq war veteran who will partake in a newly created romantic storyline into the challenges faced by a soldier after combat.  Now, it seems that the ABC soap has finally found their man.

J.R. Martinez, a real life war hero who won the casting search, will assume the role of Brot Monroe on All My Children in a storyline that begins with a special episode featuring a series of unscripted support group sessions with other veterans of the war.

Bianca Montgomery has emerged as a gay icon, not only on the fictional world of All My Children but also in the LGBT community as well.  As the first lead character on a major daytime drama to be a lesbian, Bianca has gone on to be the subject of various academic works, and is said to have inspired soap opera writers to begin with the scripting of sexual identities of tortured teen characters.  Because of this, her portrayer, Eden Riegel, who recently returned on All My Children on October 17, is pleased to be part of such a groundbreaking storyline.

'All My Children' Actor Heads to 'Days of our Lives'

John Callahan is an actor whose work on the soap circuit stretches back over 20 years.  He has a lot of credits to his name including stints on Falcon Crest and Santa Barbara but his role as Edmund Grey on All My Children from April 1992 to March 2005 has brought him the most fame and acclaim.  Soon, the 54-year-old actor will be returning the soap world, nearly three years after playing his infamous character.  This time, however, he'll be gracing the town of Salem as he joins the cast of Days of our Lives.

On All My Children, Callahan came to Pine Valley in search of a life he once and to uncover the Will Cortlandt murder mystery.  On Days of our Lives, he'll be serving as the doctor of Nicole Walker (Arianne Zuker), who is currently pregnant with EJ's (James Scott) baby.
