It may not be one of the best comedies on television, but it's still around for a reason.  10 Items or Less is a partially improvised comedy about a rural Ohio grocery store called Greens and Grains that has managed to skate around for a few seasons, somewhat unnoticed, and still managed to avoid the ax.

John Lehr plays the goofy manager of a small grocery store trying to deal with the corporate mega-store known as Super Value Mart, kind of like a more blue-collar Michael Scott from The Office.  Also included are Jennifer Elise Cox, who plays Leslie's former schoolmate who is now the manager of Green and Grain's number 1 competitor Super Value Mart, Kirsten Gronfield, who portrays a quirky yet soft-spoken customer service representative, Roberta Valderrama, who appears as the aggressive Yolanda Nelson and Greg Davis Jr., who plays an ambitious checkout bagger, just to name a few.

Employees of Greens and Grains will once again invade our small screens after nearly 10 months since 10 Items or Less aired its last episode.  TBS has finally set the date for the third season of the sitcom on January 6 at 11pm.

10 Items or Less, for those who are not familiar, is a partly improvised comedy series about a less than successful businessman who returns home to run a family-owned supermarket upon the death of his father. John Lehr takes the center stage as Leslie Pool, the manager of Greens and Grains who infuses his dorky yet lovable management style to the grocery store.

John Lehr is known not only as a comedic television and film actor, but as a writer and producer as well. A critically acclaimed improvisational performer, he has become a darling of the press with his delightful personality. His flair and passion for his craft is outstandingly evident in his numerous positive reviews, as well as his acquisition of the Audience Choice Award at the 2004 Slamdance Film Festival. An expert in grabbing people’s attention, he easily captivates viewers with his uncanny humor and ticklish dialogues. He currently stars and is the executive producer of the entertaining funny show 10 Items or Less.

Although Jennifer Elise Cox is popularly known for her portrayal of ditzy and eccentric characters, she has positively honed herself to be worthy of more mature and challenging roles. Charmingly pretty, she has grown to be one of the crowd’s favorite actresses. At present, she is part of the television show 10 Items or Less.
