Episode 1 - Now You Know 5/5/2008 Edit details Despite having plans to run away together, Carlos tells Gabby that she cannot leave her after Edie’s suicide attempt, which, of course, is just a ploy to get Carlos to stay. Edie has also discovered Carlos’ overseas bank account worth $10 million. Bree and Andrew argue over the former’s plan of disguising Danielle’s child as their own. In a barbecue party, meanwhile, Bree’s fake stomach is stabbed by a barbecue fork, which Bree and Orson dismiss as a prank. Lynette, meanwhile, still has not told anybody about her cancer.

Episode 2 - Smiles of a Summer Night 10/7/2007 Edit details Julie is forbidden to go to a party despite approval from Susan because of Mike. Later on, Susan reveals that she just wants Mike to feel that he is part of the decision-making process but she is free to go. Meanwhile, Lynette is looking for company during her chemotherapy sessions. Everyone is willing but she picks Gabrielle, who reveals that the reason why she is uncomfortable about the set-up is because when her father died of cancer, she was instructed by her mom not to cry about it to avoid disappointment for her dad. During lunch, meanwhile, Katherine swaps her pie with Bree so that people will get to try it. Bree is furious and wants to know her secret ingredient. Carlos is blackmailed by Edie to marry her lest his secret bank account be revealed.

Episode 3 - The Game 10/14/2007 Edit details Susan invites the ladies of Wisteria Lane to a game of charades. Initially hesitant to attend, they eventually accept when they learn of the fight they overheard on the Mayfair home. Susan asks for the name of Bree’s gynecologist but the latter ends up giving her a different one. Meanwhile, Bree spreads humors about what she overheard in the Mayfair household and Carlos asks for more time in telling Edie about Gabby. At the party, however, everyone sees the new engagement ring Edie brought for herself and Gabby is not happy.

Episode 4 - If There's Anything I Can't Stand 10/21/2007 Edit details Susan tries to be hospitable in welcoming a new gay couple in Wisteria Lane but fails miserably. She heats some cookies with ingredients one of them is allergic to and she ends up causing damage to a very expensive suit courtesy of a runaway dog. Bree receives a motorcycle, which Orson crashes. She also refuses to hold a baby shower to cover up her fake pregnancy, but her friends decide to surprise her. Meanwhile, Edie receives news from her gynecologist that she has crabs. When Carlos finds out, he thinks Gabby and in turn Victor might have it too.

Episode 5 - Art Isn't Easy 10/28/2007 Edit details The ladies’ new neighbors install a strange sculpture in their front yard and no body except Susan like it. It was revealed to be a very noisy water fountain later on and even Susan wants it moved elsewhere. Katherine, meanwhile, runs for president of the homeowners’ association in Wisteria Lane. Lynette decides to run against her when Katherine does not promise to spare the tree house of her kids. Carlos elopes with Gabby on the pretense of a golf game during the weekend with his buddies. At the hotel with Carlos, Gabby runs into her former gardener, with whom she had an affair with, and his wife, who is a hotel heiress. When the gardener goes to their room to rekindle their flame and Gabby refuses, she and Carlos agree to break up with their respective partners before they continue with their relationship.

Episode 6 - Now I Know 11/4/2007 Edit details Mike reveals to Susan that his father is not dead, as he previously told her, but is in jail for murder. She wants to meet him to get information on any hereditary disease her unborn child might get from him. Mike sides with his father and justifies his crime. To celebrate the victory of his wife over cancer, Tom wants to take Lynette to celebrate. She, however, is too preoccupied with a loose possum on their yard, which, she says, reminds her of her cancer, which disrupted their lives. Danielle arrives at a Halloween party and impersonates her mother, much to her dismay. Meanwhile, Gabby leaves her husband, who is running for governor, for Carlos via voicemail. Afraid of the damage a divorce might have on Victor’s image, his dad tries to bribe Gabby to stay with him.

Episode 7 - You Can't Judge a Book by Its Cover 11/11/2007 Edit details When her mom brings home a strange man, Lynette wants her out. But Stella tells her she has no other place to go. She looks for other means to get her mom out of her house. Because of a traumatic experience with his own cir!@#!@cision, Orson refuses to have baby Ben undergo the said procedure. Bree goes behind his back to proceed with the operation regardless. Dylan uses a school assignment to gain more information about her father, to which Katherine hesitantly concedes. Victor and Gabby decide to on a boat trip together, just the two of them. Yet a misunderstanding had Victor knocked overboard and Carlos, who was waiting at the dock, and Gabby looking for him. Bree confronts Mike about a bag of pills she found on his things.

Episode 8 - Distant Past 11/25/2007 Edit details Feeling guilty over what happened to Victor, Carlos tells the police what happened and says it is self-defense. Finding Victor’s empty boat, the police then questions Gabby, who implies that he might be suicidal. Meanwhile, Bree insists on having their baby sleep with Orson and her. She asks Tom how he and Lynette managed to find places to make love when their kids were growing up. He says they just get creative. As a result, Bree shows up in Orson’s clinic, ready to make love, much to Orson’s delight. Also, Susan finally discovers Mike’s secret stash of drugs.

Episode 9 - Something's Coming 12/2/2007 Edit details Gabby reveals that she is back with Carlos and actually plans to leave town to escape from his current husband, who is due to be released from the hospital shortly. Karen alerts the ladies that a tornado is coming and she agrees, although reluctantly at first, to let Lynette, her kids and Tom, stay in her basement. Susan leaves a “See me.” note on Mike’s secret drug stash and an argument causes Susan to fall down the stairs. Arriving at Gabby’s house, Carlos finds Victor armed with a guy. The two wrestle for it and end up in the street as the tornado rips through the street. Victor is impaled by a wayward post and Carlos is knocked unconscious. Orson hauls Sylvia, Katherine, and Bree into a small closet. Sylvia is killed when she comes out of the bathroom to get Adam. When it’s over, all houses in Wisteria Lane are still standing except the McCluskey’s, which held Ida, Tom, Kayla, and Lynette’s children.

Episode 10 - Welcome to Kanagawa 1/6/2008 Edit details As a tornado strikes Wisteria Lane, rescue workers search for Lynette’s family underneath the rubble. One by one, they are pulled out, plus Tom, while Ida is confirmed dead. Sylvia Greene, with whom Adam had an affair with, also dies. Because of the wreckage, Lynette begins to appreciate the friendships she has kept. Carlos is injured and is in the hospital. The residents of Wisteria Lane try to rebuild their lives.

Episode 11 - Sunday 4/13/2008 Edit details After hearing about Katherine and Adam, the ladies of Wisteria Lane comes over to offer biscuits and jam, but Katherine shoos them away and retreats to the woods behind her house, where she sits in front of what looks like a grave and starts crying. When Bree brings Lynette to her church, she thinks she is making a fool of herself. Embarrassed, Lynette does go to a different church but then the minister starts asking where Lynette is. So Bree asks her to go back but Lynette refuses. Despite his fears, Gabby insists on loving Carlos despite his blindness.

Episode 12 - In Buddy's Eyes 4/20/2008 Edit details Orson pays Mike a visit at the rehabilitation center, where he asked Orson to forgive him for asking for drugs without thinking about the consequences. He is repeatedly found naked on different parts of the house and it was revealed that he sleepwalks. Meanwhile, Gabby is still struggling to deal with Carlos’ blindness and she ponders over taking advantage of it via handicapped tags for parking space. The police come to Lynette’s house to investigate a case of vandalism in Rick’s restaurant. Soon after, she receives news that a fire gutted the place.

Episode 13 - Hello 4/27/2008 Edit details The morning after the fire at Rick’s restaurant, Lynette confronts Tom about it. Tom denies any involvement in the incident. When a police investigation ensues, Lynette lies to them to give Tom an alibi. Later that night, Lynette discovers that it was Porter and Preston who committed the crime. Meanwhile, Katherine decides to open a catering business with Bree and Dylan is pulled over by a man who says he is her father. Susan becomes emotional as Bree and Orson are returning to their house and Mike is returning from rehab.

Episode 14 - Opening Doors 5/4/2008 Edit details Bree confronts Edie about Orson staying the night at their house and expresses concern that the two might have an affair. Edie dismisses this and shuts the door on Bree’s face. Susan, meanwhile, accidentally meets his ex-husband Karl in a pregnancy class. Karl says offensive things to Susan and brags about his new wife. At first Susan tries to say fake things about Mike but later on realizes that the most important thing is that he loves her, unlike Karl. Dylan, meanwhile, is meeting up with Wayne unknown to Katherine.

Episode 15 - Mother Said 5/11/2008 Edit details Susan’s mother-in-law arrives for a visit and Gabby finds out that their tenant is actually a drug dealer. They are sought after by the police to arrange an operation to turn her in. Bree confronts Edie about the kiss with Orson. A full-blown war erupts when Bree slaps Edie across the face. Katherine, meanwhile, reveals tells Wayne that Dylan is not his daughter.

Episode 16 - The Gun Song 5/18/2008 Edit details The ladies of Wisteria Lane decide on the name of Susan and Mike’s baby and they all agree that Maynard is not a good candidate. She, however, eventually concedes naming their son Maynard after Mike talks about how great her deceased grandfather is. Bree and Katherine do some practice shooting in a shooting range. Gaby forms a strong bond with her new tenant, although she spies on her room and almost turns her in. Lynette is accused of abusing Kayla.

Andrea Bowen Gets 'Desperate' Boyfriend

desperate houswives Just last week, BuddyTV reported that Andrea Bowen will soon return to Wisteria Lane to reprise her role as Julie Meyer on Desperate Housewives. Towards the end of last season, her character was officially admitted into Princeton University and one of the professors at Princeton was so impressed by her senior thesis that she was offered a summer internship.

As we head further into the fifth season of Desperate Housewives, however, Susan (Teri Hatcher) will be reunited with her daughter Julie and according to Entertainment Weekly, she's got a hell of a surprise for her mother and it has something to do with her new boyfriend.

Gale Harold and Teri Hatcher, Desperate Housewives Previously on Desperate Housewives: Five years in the future, Bree and Katherine are still at odds, Gabi is upset she has a fat kid, Susan is dating her young house painter and Edie returned to Wisteria Lane with her new, super crazy husband.

In tonight's episode of Desperate Housewives, we learn that the women are all crazy. Actually, we already knew that, but in every storyline, the main women make crucial errors in judgment, whether it's flirting with their son, fighting over a name, or getting angry when people do exactly what they're told to do.

Desperate Housewives: More Casting Updates for Season 5

Desperate Housewives came back Sunday night with a bang. The show kicked off its fifth season with 18.4 million viewers, the ABC dramedy's largest audience since January 6. With the show off to a good start, we can expect that good things are in store as the ladies of Wisteria Lane head further into the fast-forwarded-season.

Desperate Housewives: Season 5 Premiere Recap

'Desperate Housewives' Creator: Five-year Jump Idea Came from 'Lost'

Desperate Housewives on TV Guide cover Leading up to the premiere of its new season this Sunday, Desperate Housewives fans will finally know what happens to the residents of Wisteria Lane after the infamous five-year jump. Recently, the ladies posed for the cover of TV Guide. Remarkably, this is only the second time they appeared together on a magazine after season 1. Desperate Housewives executive producer and creator Marc Cherry filled us in on the anticipated jump and admitted that it came from a show insanely famous for mangling time like there's no tomorrow.

“The idea for the five-year jump on Desperate Housewives really came from the executive producers of Lost,” revealed Cherry. “I'm actually doing something unheard of in Hollywood.
