Andrea Bowen Gets 'Desperate' Boyfriend

desperate houswivesJust last week, BuddyTV reported that Andrea Bowen will soon return to Wisteria Lane to reprise her role as Julie Meyer on Desperate Housewives.  Towards the end of last season, her character was officially admitted into Princeton University and one of the professors at Princeton was so impressed by her senior thesis that she was offered a summer internship.

As we head further into the fifth season of Desperate Housewives, however, Susan (Teri Hatcher) will be reunited with her daughter Julie and according to Entertainment Weekly, she's got a hell of a surprise for her mother and it has something to do with her new boyfriend.

Desperate Housewives on TV Guide coverLeading up to the premiere of its new season this Sunday, Desperate Housewives fans will finally know what happens to the residents of Wisteria Lane after the infamous five-year jump.  Recently, the ladies posed for the cover of TV Guide.  Remarkably, this is only the second time they appeared together on a magazine after season 1.  Desperate Housewives executive producer and creator Marc Cherry filled us in on the anticipated jump and admitted that it came from a show insanely famous for mangling time like there's no tomorrow.

“The idea for the five-year jump on Desperate Housewives really came from the executive producers of Lost,” revealed Cherry.  “I'm actually doing something unheard of in Hollywood.  I'm giving credit where credit is due…  We didn't need to do this, we wanted to do this.  It's given us all a new lease on life.  We're treating the sea
