Finally.
After a month of holidays, egg nog, and more Snoopy and Ralphie Parker than one knows what to do with, we're finally back to normal. January is upon us, 2007 has begun its tyrannical, 300-plus day reign, and our favorite TV shows will no longer bludgeon us with repeats. Tomorrow, January 3rd, brings the return of a couple of our favorites, as well as two brand new shows.
After that, the flood begins, and over the next month virtually every original program will air new episodes. A full list of the returning dates for most every show on television is after the jump.

The leggy Dancing With the Stars favorite-who-didn't-make-it, and former WWE valet, Stacy Keibler is throwing her silk stockings into another ring all together, acting. The ex-diva signed a development deal with ABC shortly after her emergence as one of Dancing with the Stars most notable competitors. Keibler will be moving in next to lead star Brian as one half of a set of smoking room-mates, rounded out by the equally hot, but lesser known, Jessica Szohr.

I know we ran through this last week, but there have been more changes and a boatload more speculation since then regarding the new prime time schedules for the major networks. Sweeps is a key time for re-tooling schedules, and once all the mid-season replacements are placed, the network's hands are pretty much tied. There's no turning back.
In the past few days there have been some mildly surprising announcements (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip receiving a full-season pickup, Men In Trees to air post-Grey's Anatomy) and there are sure to be some more in the coming week, especially when NBC announces their Winter schedule and ABC decides what to do with their new/departing shows scheduling quagmire. What About Brian
Originally shelved at the beginning of last year, What About Brian is a relationship drama starring Barry Watson (“7th Heavenâ€?) about a 30-something guy looking for love. He pines for the fiancé of his best friend and this (non) relationship is the focal point of the show. Keeping two people apart is a fine line to continuously walk on a show and is a theme we've all seen innumerable times. People seem to enjoy it and, despite mediocre ratings, ABC is giving it a second chance. It's good to see a network have faith in a struggling show, but I just don't see What About Brian succeeding in the long run.
