After a season finale that divided critics and received flak for failing to meet most expectations, Fox series Bones crossed the Atlantic to, hopefully, open its fourth season with a bang. Shot in the U.K., the two-hour premiere called “Yanks in the UK” aired last Wednesday, September 3. While there are several unkind reviews, there are also those who found the vigorous stereotyping of Bones funny and, overall, worth watching. After a dismal season finale, however, critics noted that it had to do much more to save itself.
Part of the enjoyment most Bones fan get watching the show is seeing the somehow odd coupling of Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz). Of course, simplistically, Brennan is seen as the brains in the duo, while Booth is the brawn. When the pair traveled to London, it really was like fish out of water.

Previously on Bones: Dr. Zack Addy (Eric Millegan) was busted as Gormagon's apprentice and promptly arrested, leaving a hole in the hearts of the Jeffersonian team.
We begin tonight's new episode of Bones at Oxford University, where Brennan (Emily Deschanel) is giving some boring lecture about forensic anthropology. Booth (David Boreanaz) is asleep in the audience, snoring rather loudly. Bones asks him to stand as she acknowledges that her brand of “logical empiricism” isn't always good, citing Zack, which gets Booth riled up. The speech ends, and Bones makes googly eyes at Professor Ian Wexler.

While fans cannot wait for the fourth season of Bones, which debuts on September 3rd at 8pm on FOX, the actors and actresses, who recently headed to England to film the premiere episode, have been teasing up with a few hints of what’s to come in the new season. In fact, we recently reported on the dynamics of Bones and Booth’s amusing relationship, and now that they’re knee deep into the production of the upcoming season, the stars have yet again come out to give us a sneak peek of what’s to come on September 3.
The first question that comes to mind is “Why are the crew in England?” David Boreanaz recently spoke to E! Online to answer that question, saying, “Bones is speaking to Oxford, and I'm speaking to Scotland Yard. There is an American businessman living in London, and his daughter is murdered—we pull her car out of the Thames—and it becomes a unified effort between Scotland Yard, the FBI and the forensics teams on both ends.”

Coming off the Comic Con and the TCA, fans were given enough food for thought about the fourth and upcoming season of Bones, which promises a lot more steam between the two central characters, Dr. Temperance Bones (Emily Dechanel) and Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz). Recently, the production flew to England to shoot what is to become the debut episode of Season 4. In our Live from Comic Con report, we already revealed that Booth and Bones will be getting naked together, but what does this say about their relationship? Boreanaz admits that they’re as close as humanly possible, and that Booth has some personal opinions about his character.
"She says I'm not an adaptable character," Boreanaz admitted to the Canadian Press. He added that Booth will have to deal with becoming "become part of the system here in England - the traditions and what not - though as the show progresses, he slowly starts to understand them and embraces them."
