The Ultimate Fighter 8: Vinny Magalhaes Defeats Jules Bruchez

Last night's episode of The Ultimate Fighter season 8 saw the victory of Team Mir over Team Nogueira as Vinny Magalhaes defeated Jules Bruchez by armbar submission.  While the bout still offered some action, it was deemed quite boring by most UFC fans.

Vinny Magalhaes, for those who are not familiar, is a native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil who currently trains with Team Quest and UFC star Dan Henderson in Temecula, California.  He has spent the last 10 years perfecting his martial arts skills while also studying English, Spanish and Portuguese languages.

Team Hughes Vs. Team Serra for UFC 'The Ultimate Fighter' Season 6

It's official.  UFC and SpikeTV announced today that season 6 of The Ultimate Fighter will feature Team Serra against Team Hughes.  This amounts to current Welterweight Champion Matt Serra leading his team of Ultimate Fighting hopefuls against past champion Hughes' team.  In what has become a prevailing theme of The Ultimate Fighter, a future match between the coaches has already been booked for November, 2007.

After last week's drama when Jeremy Jackson was booted after he broke the rules by sneaking out of the house to hook up with a lifeguard, this week Shonie Carter's clowning around put him in the spotlight. At least, the spotlight outside the octagon.
