Remember how FOX took Drive off the air, then put it back on, then took it back off, and so on?  Or how NBC did the same thing to Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip?  Now ABC is jumping into the game, abandoning their initial plans to burn off episodes of two canceled shows: The Knights of Prosperity and The Nine.

After airing the first seven episodes of The Nine in October and November of 2006, ABC pulled the show off the air, and later canceled it, though six episodes remained unaired.  Starting two weeks ago, ABC began to burn them off Wednesday nights at 10pm, but after just two episodes with unbelievably low ratings, the final four episodes are being shelved yet again, to be replaced by an ABC News inside look at NASCAR.  I guess airing just nine episodes of the show is a note of playful irony on ABC's part.

ABC already released its upcoming fall schedule and unfortunately, The Knights of Prosperity was not included in the lineup. After announcing some changes in the airing schedule and consequently pulling out the comedy series from its primetime niche, the network decided to cancel the show officially on May 15, 2007.

Despite the distinct comedic plot and the marketing efforts generated by the network and its fans, which included an online petition from a group called “Save The Knights,” and promotional merchandise distributed by ABC in a number of markets, attempts to keep Knights of Prosperity alive generally failed.

Naturally whimsical, Donal Logue became part of the situational comedy The Knights of Prosperity. This Canadian actor has been easily shifting a variety of character roles on films and television ever since he started to enter the limelight. A delight to watch, he showers the entertainment scene with his cute antics and hilarious punch lines.

Another Latina emerges beautifully in the entertainment scene and she comes in the form of Sofia Vergara. Abundantly blessed with a voluptuous body and gorgeous face, this bombshell carves herself a niche on Hollywood distinctly. Popularly known as a versatile model and a gutsy actress, she lands a spot on the television series The Knights of Prosperity.

Finally. After a month of holidays, egg nog, and more Snoopy and Ralphie Parker than one knows what to do with, we're finally back to normal. January is upon us, 2007 has begun its tyrannical, 300-plus day reign, and our favorite TV shows will no longer bludgeon us with repeats. Tomorrow, January 3rd, brings the return of a couple of our favorites, as well as two brand new shows. After that, the flood begins, and over the next month virtually every original program will air new episodes. A full list of the returning dates for most every show on television is after the jump.

Fall 2006 New Shows Rank: #13 Gist of the Show: A group of misfit thieves conspire to rob the luxurious apartment of Mick Jagger. Really. The Knights of Prosperity was formerly titled “Let's Rob Mick Jagger.� Cast Member Looking To Reclaim Former Glory: Donal Logue, the scruffy everyman who jumped onto the scene in the cult hit “The Tao of Steve.� Similar in Theme to: Underrated Russo Brothers film “Welcome to Collinwood�, starring William H. Macy and Sam Rockwell. Time Slot Competition: Law & Order: Criminal Intent, House Likelihood of Second Season: 42%...although I wish it were higher. Final Word: I probably shouldn't have ranked The Knights of Prosperity so high, the buzz has been only okay, but doesn't the premise sound fun?
